i will keep on saying it, as far as traditional rulers has stoop so low for our politicians to step on they will never have such respect which is due to them. just look at a position like Emir ,traditional rulers need to move away from politics and retain they respect and the glory they once have. |

IkeOnyia: So many people in government that wouldn't be if their past actions were researched like USA does before appointment. I only just learned about Sanusi led sharia beheading of an Igbo trader because the trader's son cleaned his buttocks with a piece of paper he found on the floor which turned out to be Koran. How his two co-conspirators were killed by firing squad - ordered by Abacha. But he himself was freed due to his status as a prince. Was given a UBA job, made trouble weekly for the governor. Governor threatened UBA and he was transferred to Lagos. Still made trouble and was fired. Immediately was pushed into another bank and eventually became CEO. Same protector got the ears of Jonathan and got him is CBN governor job. And in the history of this country, he's the only CBN governor to be fired. After the firing, same protector worked to make him Emir. Who says connection no matter. |

Imagine the gibberish this man is saying. There's nothing the media in Lagos can do. What concerns lagos with this. Somebody was advising the north to reduce mortality rate, increase enrollment in education and improve infrastructure because he could see tomorrow, you're saying it's an insult to the sensibilities of the north. It's only people that are sensible that will appreciate what sanusi is saying. As a matter of fact, there should be a legislation on the minimum education requirement to vote in this country as we realize illiterates elect leaders for us in this country. 1 Like |

Sleevia: These obas you mentioned know their limits and keep to them. If they behave recklessly, they will cease to have the respect of the people in their domain, and it will be the same people that will call on their governors to remove them! Why is it that Kano has been calm? Southerners just dont understand the north at all, and that is why the north keeps ruling. Lawyers are waiting as usual to eat what remains of SLS's money. The matter will get to the supreme court, and you know the rest.... Oyinbo will say, those who come to equity must come with clean hands......Politics was played in appointing an emir and same politics is being played and the people just need to watch as it plays out. Some people are calling him out for Presidency! SLS indeed has a lot of enemies. |

I think I finally understand the problem of Nigeria. It is always "attack the messenger and not the message". Meanwhile, I think we need to divide this country or revert back to regional governance. How can these useless Northerners support Gandollar over Sanusi? Even Tinubu has been romancing Gandollar lately. All these selfish bastards will not live to see 2023. Amen! 3 Likes |

Dee60:who told you southerners don't understand the North. The North is against anything progressive. To them, it is a taboo and Sanusi stand for liberating the North but mba... Their own is 72 virgin puussies... Almajiris, millions of out of school kids, poverty, insecurity. Anyone who proposes a way forward is seen as against the North and you think sharing this country with such people of this mentality will make it progress? Dreamer..! We wish them well. If their ways is so sure, let us divide the country and compare and contrast say 20 years and let's see who will be ahead and would be stagnant. You can not remove the Oba of Ife and Oba of Benin. Can I deny you your inheritance even if you talk recklessly? |

If this news is true by Junaid I think it combination of all Northern Elite and Wealthy that remove Sanusi because they saw him as threats. After all Sanusi to me is also hypocritical in the sense that he claimed many almagiri was supposed to be educated but failed woefully to educate those in the Kano emirate while he was there Emir. Secondly, the statement by Junaid connote that if he continue like that he is disgracesing northern culture and values because truth be told North see themselves as semi god to all other regions. Truth be told, the so called Ganguje who hide Sanusi along with Kwankanso in 2014 when he was Kano state deputy Governor now be the one to remove him from Office when he became Governor, without doubt this is beyond Ganguje power alone it's the combination of many northern elite because of there arrogance that they are above other regions. |

If you abuse northern elites, fine but what about other elites in other parts of the country? Have they fared any better? The answer is no. I condemn Nigerian elites wholeheartedly but I don’t believe that we should do so as to be pleasing to some people in the South. That is the difference between him and the rest of us who are radicals. We are true radicals who believe in what we say. We believe the elites are irresponsible but the deposed Emir believes only northern elites should be blamed. So, if he finds himself in the hot water of the northern elites, he shouldn’t be surprised. This is the reason he was dethroned. Nothing else. The North cannot afford to have an Emir that criticizes the North |
