i think you are underplaying the lethality of covid-19. italy's death rate has just spiked up to 23% in just one day, even one of their medical chiefs has just passed away, dont forget italy arguably has the one of the best health care systems in europe (it is better than the UK's).

if you are waiting for a vaccine my guy you are misinformed. you need to research on the virus itself and see how hard creating a vaccine for it is. first of all, look into the amount of viruses in this world and how many have vaccines. viruses are countered usually by antiviral drugs and not vaccines. probably the only vaccine we have for a virus is small pox. even the lasser fever with a higher mortality rate does not have a vaccine, ribavrin which is an antiviral drug is not a vaccine.

another aspect is the fact that covid-19 mutates, YES!!! it does, new studies have shown that the coronavirus has mutated into two new strains, one more aggresive and the other dosile.

i watched a video of the first brit who caught the virus, a guy in his mid twenties. bro, his ordeal was something else, he had lower respiratory tract infection( a form of pneumonia) at the final stage of his recovery. pneumonia which is the leading cause of child death in the World especially in west and central sub-saharan africa.

now this brings me to Nigeria, poor healthcare, poor hygiene, poor education, over population, very passive government, lack of proper infrastructure. i just dont see us having it any easy if it blows up here. if its just one or two people that have it in Nigeria, then we can cope but if its up to italy's figures then we would have a real APOCALYPTO on our hands.

Also WHO estimates about 80% of the world population would catch the virus, so better get ready cheesy
Now this is just one doomsday side of the ordeal.

On the other hand, the fatality rate globally is just about 3.5% while in Italy, it is higher at about 5% and majorly because of the high old population with the highest hit been those with already compromised immune systems and the vulnerable.

In Nigeria, we have a median age of about 21 years which means that yhe mortality rate won't be anything more than 1% if I compare with a South Korea. Even in China, outside Wuhan, mortality rate hovered around 1%.

We have had Lassa fever in this part of the world for a few years now and Lassa fever has a way higher double digit mortality rate of about 20%... Yet, we are want to loose sleep over Coronavirus?

What are the symptoms of Corona virus? There are absolutely no alien symptoms for corona virus...The same symptoms you have when you have flu + - malaria and with our propensity to these already and our very young population, we'll definitely ride through corona without any hassles and mortality rate won't be anything near the figures reeled out in Italy and co.

The virus is definitely in Nigeria and spreading too but ofcourse with our very inefficient healthcare plus people who already have mild symptoms will treat it just as they'll treat flu or malaria and will ride through the virus without any troubles.

While I understand that there's a lot of sensationalism about the virus, let's slow down on the panic button.

Liverpool at this level is not in contention with anybody for the title .and if you think the league will be cancelled and the points and positions of every team thrown away like that Then you must be a fool

He isn't a fool, Blackpool was denied the league title during the start of world war 2.
Same could be Liverpool's fate

youre right lets not panic, it will pass. however, you shouldnt forget that the variables in this part of the world are way way more significant. i dont think it would be objective to try and apply the stats of a developed country to Nigeria.

also, dont forget that although we have a median age of 21, we still have roughly about 50 million adults 50 and above. so if you were to calculate the fatality rate, in that age group, in a country like Nigeria, if the virus Blows up it would be gruesome.

sha who knows.

Lobatan. Sebi U.K are feeling over sabi ni. Suspend League until further notice. Arteta's player and staffs would have made a contact with their families n their family members would have made a contact with another family. The fans n other spectators too.

All the best with this Coro wahala

now riddle me this!!

suspension and cancellation have one thing in common- football activities won't take place.

so why cancel
answer the above question yourself.

it doesn't make any sense canceling anything. universities might as well cancel all programs for the year and make students start all over again due to covid-19. e make sense to you?

I think your sense is much more blacker than mine.

Ha! Certainly Arsenal are obviously going through the worst this season. The gunners are having a terrible season. Wish Arteta quick recovery

This has nothing to with Arsenal season being bad. This has to do with a disease that is spreading like wild fire. Chelsea's Hodsoi tested positive too. All football staffs are are at risk. This is ruining football. If any player in Liverpool, the league leader contracts it, which I don't pray for, the impending doom is louder than their League Position.

Let's use our head to think now!

get a grip. The Spanish flu of 100 years ago killed 50 million people so get sense. No Jesus coming anywhere. It's a virus. Humans are more intelligent now and it won't get to that number. It's one of the things that can happen. Stop bringing rubbish here
May God have mercy on you. Similar thing happened during the time of Noah, he was warning them about the danger ahead, they didn't pay heed to his warnings until the flood came and destroy them. What is happening now is nothing but signs of end time, give your life to Christ and escape the wroth of God. Jesus loves you with an everlasting love.
