Shut up ...shut your dirty trap up . Which Bible ? Is this corona as deadly as other epidemics from the past centuries ? Is it deadlier than the Black death that ravaged Europe In the Mediaeval times and ate up so many bodies ? Carry your knucklehead religiosity out of here.
Chairman cool down.

It is true that this is not the worst epidemic ever. Even the more recent ones like Ebola and Bird-flu were more deadly.

The issue is the world has become a global village and news fly faster, reaching every corner of the world thereby spreading panic.

Untill now most of us didn't even know about the Black Death that killed between 75M to 200M world wide, especially in Eurasia.

Malaria, cancer, Diabetes, HBP, Hungar/starvation, road accidents, kill people on daily basis far more than Covid-19.
The major reason why the panic is high is because there is no known cure for an infected person yet. People think contacting Coronavirus is equivalent to a death sentence. But the mortality rate remains very low (<5%)

Good news is Scientists/ medical experts are working round the clock. We are expecting a breakthrough, but no one knows when.

The onus lies on the doomsday religious zealot to be certain of his statement before uttering them . Ignorance is bliss in his condition. Every little global panic , them zealots elect to use it as a fear factor to cower fear into people and preach their fallacy of doomsday . Coming here to spread a germane like he is some kind of prophet or soothsayer. Baloney

The problem is not the mortality rate but the fact that it can spread easily. Even if it doesn't kill, think of the pressure it will put on our medical system. A vaccine won't be out for at least a year.

Arsenal fans in the house. Your Coach, Mikel Arteta has tested Positive for the Coronavirus.

Well, his isolation has already began. He will be placed on treatment like the others. Wishing him a good recovery.

Raul Sanllehi: “Mikel and the full first-team squad, players and staff, will be fully supported, and we look forward to getting back to training and playing as soon as medical advice allows. Obviously Mikel’s full recovery is the priority now for us all.”
Its sad cos he was at training last week.... Players arent safe again. Lord airpus o.

Iggy didn't even miss a pass. Perfect passing accuracy in the final third and overall sef.

Indeed it seems we are seeing Ighalo's prime. This is it. Prime Ighalo. It took him a long while but he is finally showing great stuff in one of the world's biggest clubs carrying on from where he left off with Nigeria at the AFCON/AFCON Qualifiers and in China.

And like you, I also don't think I recognise him anymore.

We have our current Super Eagles strikers balling and firing all on cylinders but seeing our Super Eagles retirees like Ighalo and Mikel still doing what they do week in, week out is testament to the way things have changed for Nigerian football most especially our senior national team.
Even our Former players are still so good and relevant for Good clubs and our current young players are also making us not miss them much or at all sef.
Those negative speaking man u legends needs to shut up. All saying crap most times about Ighalo.

No, a bonafide child of God filled with his spirit.

But we Christians are fast loosing sight of the great commission granted us by our Lord and Saviour in Matthew 28 and are instead focused (erroneously) on looking out for physical signs like we are astrologers.

Let us instead focus on reaching the lost with the gospel of Christ which is our ministry (2 Cor 5:21) instead of speaking doom and gloom. The gospel is good news and not to scare people into believing and accepting Christ. If there's a topic that requires deep reflection among all believers in the church today, it is the unnecessary focus and erroneous doctrine of materialism as the sole reason for Christ's death, burial and resurrection.

Thanks brother. You're blessed
He didn't say anything odd from the bible na. Matt 24 and 25 have Jesus speaking about these kinda things happening and warning all believers to be on the watch out for them when they happen. He isnt preaching doom and gloom na. Make God change this situo for us. Football is on a standstill now. Sports would and human interaction would soon reduce drastically. Hmm

The Premier League released a 45-word statement following the news of Arteta and Hudson-Odoi's positive tests.

It read: "In light of Arsenal’s announcement tonight confirming that their first-team coach Mikel Arteta has tested positive for COVID-19, the Premier League will convene an emergency club meeting on Friday morning regarding future fixtures.

"The Premier League will make no further comment until after that meeting."

So sad.

It was so disappointing watching UEFA Champions league and Europa games as if you are watching some intense training sessions. The importance of spectators in the stadium has once again been highlighted.

Though it is a tough decision to make but I think the leagues in Europe should be put on suspension. Football is a contact sport and can easily serve as a means of transfer of the virus.

For once, Afobear and Myself are on the same side. Well said my favorite thread villain. This post and your first post are on point. Being Christian is never the same as being religious. An extremist religious mindset is never a Christian mindset. Spreading fear and calumnic info all in the name of pushing an end-time/doomsday agenda.

Christianity is the Gospel. And Gospel means "Good news" not bad news and ignorant rants of fear. Well said again Afo... You earn my respect for this post.

But....... Uhmmmm.... We remain Heroes vs Villains. Inevitable, I am. grin

Guys and ladies in the house... I endorse this post and recommend you check out the link shared by Safarigirl here. Very detailed and at least they come close to giving the numbers as they come. At first glance it is easy to see that what I have been saying is not just true according to sources I got linked to WHO but are documented.

We have a recovery/death ratio of about 14 recoveries to 1 death world wide and this is as close as it gets to the Official WHO numbers.

We will beat this thing but what the world is doing now by shutting down activities is the best for an optimal control of the situation.

Like WHO Director General, Dr Tedros said, "This is a controllable Pandemic". Panic not. Stay safe. wink
