With outdated processors, if u think they are improving, only in d hardwares, check XDA developers forum and see if u will see Tecno or infinix forum there, nothing like that, phones like Nokia, Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, LG etc do get software development supports because of their processors, processors is the heart of a phone, no matter how grt ur hardware is, with a bad processors, it is good as scrap

You can try if it will work: if you root the phone and enable the camera2Api on the phone

You mean flashing MIUI ROM on the phone? No it won't. It's not just a ROM thing but a processor thing. Gcam doesn't work on most mediatek processors (there are few exceptions though).
You need a recent phone with Snapdragon processor like I said previously
