Advice On Eviction Of Stubborn Policewoman Tenant by Nobody: 8:44am On Mar 15, 2020
We have a very crafty and stubborn policewoman at our property situated at Iwo road Ibadan. Rent was increased on three bedroom flat from 100k to 120k in 2016. But since then she has been giving excuses and paying rent by instalments so she was taken to Court for Eviction and payment of arrears in 2019. Eviction judgment on 27th February 2020 says she must pay rent arrears and be evicted by 27th March 2020. She has paid rent for 2019 in three instalments but we have not collected rent from her for 2020. Now, we informed her of the Eviction order by the court but the policewoman and her husband said they would resist any eviction because the wife is a policewoman and her colleagues in the Nigeria Police Department would support her. To evict her we are thinking of the following options, 1. Report her to Police headwaters at Eleyele, Ibadan, 2. Call NSCDC 3. inform and Army barracks commander or 4. Call Amotekun security staff. Please, what do you suggest we should do to evict the policewoman and her husband on 28th March 2020?

You have gone to court already. Ask your lawyer the court process for eviction. Do not do anything without the court when evicting her. She and her husband are just making mouth the typical Nigeria way. She will leave or could get arrested by xsquad policemen.

I repeat follow court process in evicting her.

The court bailiffs know what to do. They already have a judgement to work with.

Exactly. One wrong move and he'll give the woman a reason not to leave.
