NOT SURPRISED!! LAGOSIANS JUST EXPERIENCED A SINISTER OF AN ATOMIC BOMB EXPLOSION.

I SAW A VIDEO ON HOW THE GAS WAS GUSHING OUT THROUGH THE PIPE UNDER A POWERFUL PRESSURE BEFORE THE EXPLOSION TOOK PLACE. AFTER WATCHING THE VIDEO THE THOUGHT OF WHAT MUST HAVE HAPPENED CAME TO MY MIND.

THE WHOLE INCIDENT HAPPENED SIMILAR TO HOW ATOMIC BOMB THEORETICALLY OPERATES. THIS IS WHAT MUST HAVE HAPPENED..

THE WHOLE AREA KILOMETERS AWAY TO ANYWHERE THE GAS IS CARRIED TO BY AIR IS MARKED ENDANGERED ZONE. THE WHOLE AREA THE GAS SPREADS TO BECOMES AN ENVELOPE OF GAS OF CYLINDER ITSELF.

THIS IS MORE DEADLY BECAUSE IT MIXES WITH OXYGEN IN THE ATMOSPHERE COUPLED WITH CONFINED ENVELOPE OF CONTAINER ( THE WHOLE AREA THE GAS SPREADS TO UNDER REGULATED ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE AUTOMATICALLY BECOMES A CONTAINER WHERETHE REACTION WOULD TAKE PLACE)

WHEN AN IGNITION SETS IN THE FIRE WOULD BURN THROUGH THE GAS PARTICLES PRESENT IN THE AIR SPREAD ABOUT THE AREA. IF IT SPREADS 20 KM AWAY THE FIRE AND ENERGY RELEASED (WAVE ) AFTER IGNITION WOULD TRACE THE POCKET OF GAS MIXED WITH OXYGEN IN FEW SECONDS ACCOMPANYING WITH A POWER EXPLOSION. THE ENERGY IS RELEASED IN FORM OF WAVE AND BURNING FIRE. THE WAVE IN THIS KIND OF SITUATION IS ALWAYS POWERFUL THAT IT CAN BRING DOWN BUILDINGS.

THE BUILDINGS YOU SEE COLLAPSED MUST HAVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY THESE PARTICLES OF GAS MARKED TO BE UNDER THE ENVELOPE OF SHOCKWAVE.

IT WILL TAKE A MIRACLE FOR THE LADY REPORTING IN THAT VIDEO OR PEOPLE PASSING BY TO HAVE SURVIVED IF THERE WAS AN IGNITION AT THAT MOMENT.
GAS EXPLOSION IS 100% MORE DEADLY THAN LIQUID FUEL E.G PETROL KIND OF EXPLOSION.

Good!

But I won't only blame the people, I will also blame the government because someone approved those buildings from Lagos State government n its agencies.

So I will say we are all to blame for what happened yesterday.

For those always clamouring for war, this isn't a war. It is just a little taste of how war looks like. Unlike this, bombs drop from everywhere and on anywhere, without control during war. Let peace and justice reign always.
Don't be a coward.. Sometimes war is very necessary!

There was more peace after the war than there was before it. Hitler was going to kill millions of Jews and take over Europe. The cold war was not all that peacefull but to be fair not a bullet was fired. I also understand your argument that it could have escalated, but it was not a direct consequence of the second world War, it was because of the nuclear arms race.
You have strong points.

War is sometimes necessary, but it is always devastating.

But the people who clamor for war here in Nigeria can look at those images in the OP more clearly.

If one must go to war, it must be as a last resort. War is not child's play.

Firstly who allowed people to build here where a high pressure gass pipeline passed ?

People have build why not stop using this line n redirect the pipeline through that rice ?

If this is a pipeline explosion where is the hole ripped along the pipeline ?

A pipeline explosion of this strength would bring out 100s of meters of pipeline from the ground it was buried
In as much am not happy with this incident, some people day use their hand day call wahala for themselves, how you go open your krokro eye go buy land and build near gas pipeline?......
This brings to mind that former woodridge hotel at PTI junction in Effurun, Delta State that is now Robinson plaza.....high tension wire pass that place, Gbagi still insists on risking people's life.....and they day stupidly day go rent shop there, the annoying thing be say e con go ahead to build fuelling station near am......the day e go happen cry cry .......I don't pray for bad things but there are things you can avoid

Only as a last resort.

You can't just go to war simply because they didn't give you referendum or because you feel like second class citizens in your country.

There are many options to explore to better your lives. One of it is through responsible leadership in the grassroots. If you have failed local leaders, how can the leaders at the central take you seriously.

Another option is to play politics without undue emotions. Every region in Nigeria needs the other to actualize its political and economic ambitions. There is a game called the Ultimatum game, and it focuses on cooperation, among many other factors that aid decision making.

War isn't always evil my friend. I would rather die than suffer as a slave all my life, Freedon is never given on a platter of gold. The Joy the Americans enjoy today is because they fought the British and many people died for the greater good in that war. Many people died in the second world War so peace could exist, I can go on and on. So some wars are good, some wars are bad.
Freedom can come with war but not all war lead to freedom and peace.

Nobody is clamouring for war. When people talk of war, it's because they see the signs, and they know it's inevitable. Let me sound it again, Nigeria is at the verge of war, those who are financially capable and are proactive have started relocating out of the country, some have secured citizenship or permanent residency of other countries, but are still in Nigeria doing there juicy business or job, just waiting for when crisis breaks out, and they are on the next flight out of this shithole.

Oga abeg, we don't experience this kind of things weekly or daily in maiduguri. Stop ĺying

This is nothing compare to what Borno people are experience on weekly bases.

This may not be what we were told it is.
This look more like bomb explosion than gas pipeline explosion.
I wonder why it happened in a residential area nd on Sunday when people will be at home relaxing.

God help us.
