Please my Lexus es300 sometimes finds it difficult to speed up once it slows down.
Sometimes no matter how much you trottle down it may still be running at about 20km/hr, and would gradually pick up after sometime.

I suspect the gear is not returning well.

Please what could be wrong?

Get genuine valve cover gasket and also Abro gasket gum. The abro gasket gum is in a brown plastic container. Use it and it will seal completely (that's assuming your top or cover isn't warped).

Thanks alot brother... Where can I get the original parts

You can use 5k within few hours or even for a month, it won't determine if it consumes fuel. How many miles did it serve, what's your driving pattern, any fault codes on the car etc are factors that could help

Depends on whether engine has sludge or not, synthetic blends have bleach that wash sludge down to the engine bottom blocking seals, valves and oil lubricant passage which can lead to engine failure.

Better to stick with the normal mineral oil and change every 3months or 3000 km
Re: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by Lush100(m): 4:49pm On Mar 12, 2020
ok. but is there no way to at-least wash off the sludge and then continue using mineral oil and change every 3 months?

Depends on the level of sludge in the engine from zero sludge (safe to switch) to

Medium sludge (removal by a mechanic) to

Chronic sludge (dismantle engine remove sludge)

The valve cover has to be removed to know What level of sludge available

Thanka for the reply, I will try to get the miles done, then I don't think I have any error code cos the check engine light is not showing, but still I will try to scan it today and give feedback

Dear Chief

I use a Lexus RX 300..presently I noticed the gear finiding it difficult to select and reverse...if it will eventually select it will bump forward and also rev high before selectng....the check engine light came up and showed P0755 which later disappear.....
What cud possibly be wrong....can this be fixed...I wud prefer to fix than go for a another gear and I only just changed the engine of the car

Let me add.. .I have change the trasmission fluid and still same thing

Awaiting your feedback

Good evening Gurus in the house,
Please help a newbie. My Honda civic doesn’t accelerate smoothly. When i try to accelerate after a stop, it drags before moving. When its in motion also, i also notice it drags while changing gear.
It was serviced recently and the gear oil changed with the attached.

My mechanic says might be the fuel pump or nozzle.

morning, i'm thinking of replacing my transmission fluid with filter. car is a 2009 Toyota Camry. the fluid is brownish black in colour but the car moves fine. how much fluid would i need plus filter? won't mind having cost analysis. thanks

How about starting with cleaning of the IACV (idle air control valve) it's mounted beside the throttle body which is on the intake manifold and your throttle body is cable operated.

Notice that sensor indicated with the orange colour arrow? That's it. Usually, kazeem do block a valve hole with piece of rag or paper or polyethylene. All you needed to do was get a proper cleaner to clean it after opening it, after you're done cleaning it, recouple it back properly.

Hello bro, I am presently battling a P0505 (IACV) error code on my RAV4. I removed the initial throttle body, followed the cleaning routine for both the IACV and the throttle body but the cleaning did not solve the issue. I bought and installed another tokunbo entire throttle body about two months back but the code is still present. That's the only code I have on the ride when I scan it and I am so eager to get rid of it, because I suspect it's contributing to my fuel issue plus the erratic RPM shifts sometimes. Now I have two scenarios -

1. Could it be that the replacement unit is faulty? or

2. Is it possible that the code has been permanently stored on the ECU? Just so you know, I bought another ECU after I purchased the ride to solve the transmission issue and some other electrical faults.

What do you think? Thank you.

Had the same issue, inspected the mechanic use abro and original gasket to seal the deal, its super tight since then.
