Info are useful but gossips are not.
Danjuma got his oil blocks via connection but people don't
mention it every time his name come up in the news.
But somehow, IBB has to be mentioned always in Alakija's case as if
it is the secret to the universe.

You might think I am a GEJ hater, but you are wrong.
GEJ's petroleum ministry was an utter failure.
Despite huge revenue, he couldn't complete just one monumental project
to his name.

But you are telling me he suddenly woke up close to the end of his tenure.
Oh, I can see why u are emotional grin
U still agreed with me grin

I already said alakija wasn't ibb mistress at any time but yes she got free oil block.
I defended her actually cheesy

If u are a public figure, news about you must abound.
The onus is on you to try and defend yourself a bit.
Did alakija defend herself at all?
If no, then don't blame the public.

Take it easy.

Fashion Designer keh?

Isn't she Maryam Babangida's hairdresser again?

sassysure:
Gullible Nigerians cheesy
Once u are highly eloquent, become religious and tend to defend the masses with your mouth, u are indeed a gem.
Before u know it,some will start campaigning for your without pay grin
Religious leaders and politicians use this methods very well grin

Beside, this woman started as a fashion designer not even roadside tailor.

What business has she with doing hair?

Watching Africa richest woman preaching the gospel of Christ seriously surprise. i love the way Alakija embrace humility in her life. i emplore other rich celebrities to imbibe this spirit.

but she was once hair dresser before.
Not at all. She's from the Ogbara family of Ikorodu. They're rich and well educated. She worked with International Merchant Bank those days. That's one of the highest paying banks in the 80s.... the big blue glass building in front of bar beach, Akin Adesola junction.
(You can read up on that.)

It seems that the press or people just want to run her down for selfish reasons. Go to CMS Grammar School, Bariga and see what she has done there. Also read up on her charity organisations for helpless young ladies, widows and their children amongst other ventures. She's a kind hearted woman who gives just as God gave her.

Please note that I don't know her personally though I have seen her on some occasions being her humble self.

You must be a very frustrated person always hating on successful people.
Simply because she's a Lady means she must have slept with IBB to get the Oil well, meanwhile the OP claimed she was fronting for Mayriam Babangida. In your logic Mayriam must have allowed her hairdresser to date her husband!
You guys are all jobless haters and it's better to go get a life
What was her exprience that made transition from a hair dresser to oil bloc owner? The fact is that she was gifted with our national wealth .. just like Danjuma, Ndimi etal.. You keep a stolen property, you’re a thief yourself. If she is that good, why didnt she transform her fashion biz into a $bn biz?

Those who think Alakija was "dashed" an oil well are sentimental and ignorant.

Alakija will be a fool to defend herself against nonentities.

I did not in any way agree with you.
My point still remains that it is silly to focus on Alakija for getting oil well via connection
when every government contract and oil wells are also awarded based on connection.

The OP didn't get it, neither did you for "revealing" rehashed information about Alakija embellished
with baseless innuendoes.

Her story remains an inspiration to many of us, not only women. The intention of OP is to embarrass her by calling her an hairdresser, but to me she's an example of how best to manage relationship optimally.
There's.no evidence that she's a front. This billionaire lady has told her story severally but the OP choose to remain hater.
You shouldn't expect less from hate filled people of Biafra.

The woman's earlier career as a hairdresser is significant, because she opened her yansh for the then president to nak like a village dog, and, in exchange for that smelly experience, this woman was simply allocated multi-million dollar oil drilling fields in the Niger Delta, which in a just country, would be confiscated, and returned to government ownership that would benefit the entire nation, and not one greedy woman who traded sex for national property.
Egbon, first time I'll ever see you go off point.

Some of those expressing opinions here, are obviously very desperate to portray that greedy and illiterate woman Mrs. Alaakiinjale, as a saint, in the hopes that a full probe into the illegal allocation of her oil drilling rights might be averted, so the thief can make a clean getaway, as she has done for several decades already.

President Buhari, your Excellency sir, it is VITAL that ALL the oil wells and concessions illegally given to Mrs. Alaaakiinjale, should be impounded by the state, while traces are also placed on the thieving woman's bank accounts WORLDWIDE, as a prelude to freezing them all with the help of Interpol, to expedite the recovery their contents in exactly the same way as is being done with the vast fortune looted by former Nigerian tyrant, Sanni Abacha.

If the new way to describe nepotism in Nigeria, is to liken it with "responding to the call of God", then I would question the integrity of that particular God.

Yes indeed sir, unjust favoritism granted to unqualified associates of people in power, is the essential dictionary definition of the word "nepotism", and it matters not in the slightest, whether those known to have impoverished nations with their wanton, insatiable greed, happen to claim inspiration derived from "God", or indeed, from Satan.

In other words, an impoverished petty thief that is caught on any street in Nigeria, and thus finds himself slated for a grizzly death at the hands of a screaming mob, is NEVER going to attract mercy by claiming "divine inspiration" to commit that capital crime of stealing twenty naira worth of dried fish from Iya Modina's market stall.

By the same token, a "white collar" criminal who has been quietly amassing billions of greenback dollars by selling STATE OWNED crude oil for decades, should not expect a blank check to continue that massive, industrial scale crime of Grand Larceny and financial sabotage, simply by CLAIMING to have stolen that vast fortune "with God's blessing".

Sadly your opinion represents that of the majority of Nigerian citizens, who only denounce embezzlement and other crimes IF they are perpetrated by culprits from tribes other than their own, while fawning over ANYONE with big money to flash, provided that all-important tribal criterion is satisfied in their little minds. Perhaps, therefore, it should come as no surprise that Africa's two richest women are in fact embezzlers of state assets, and beneficiaries of brazen nepotism.

Angola's former "first daughter", Ms. DoSantos, often identified as "Africa's Richest Woman", is now facing criminal charges filed by INTERPOL at the behest of the Angolan government, that will lead to global bank account and asset seizures, to frontally address that woman's illegally granted allocations of oil drilling and mineral resource exploitation rights, dating back to when her father was Angola's head-of state. It is no surprise therefore to see "Africa's Second Richest" woman, Mrs. Alaakiinjale, also exposed as a common thief, and multi-billion dollar beneficiary of identical nepotism, thanks to her role decades ago, as "Planet Earth's Most Expensive Hooker", say no more.

Regrettably, the vast majority of Nigerian tribesman and woman who expound their views online, are PRIMARILY preoccupied with tribal loyalty, and will ALWAYS rush to the defense of any wealthy criminal exposed as such in Nigeria, PROVIDED that the felon is perceived as being of the "right" tribal lineage. While most Africans no longer live in grass huts and hunt rats for lunch, the backward, inward looking village mentality, still thrives like a foul fungus today, in the good year 2020 that we now find ourselves.

Yes. Why does every Alakija news have to include IBB?
Didn't Dangote, Danjuma, Otedola, Jim Ovia, and Elumelu used connections?

Any news about them focuses on the main story.

Why does Alakija's own has to include irrelevant history?
What has evangelizing has to do with IBB?
