I was a jamb tutor for 4years... I can tell you that there is a drastic fall in standard. If you see how students struggle to solve questions of 80's you will know what I am talking about. These are same students who blasted that years UTME with 290+ and I think the marking scheme is a bit linient now too.

dont use your own students to judge... bro, there is nothing special about 80s jamb.. exam is wysiwyg if you read with the correct material, u go pass. There is no big deal atall.. students failing exam doesn't mean the exam is of high standard..

Lol... Teaching a class of 300+ over a span of 4 years is enough to make credible assertions .... It's not about material, it's about technicality and difficulty of questions. I can stand up and answer this present jamb questions without having to write down anything. The questions are so straight forward , the number is smaller. Students have time to cross-check their works 2-3 times before submitting. The olden days jamb are actually so many , you will get metally stressed out that you can't even cross-check.
