clarocuzioo: You can fight your godfather only when you have the house of assembly members on your side, if not it's impeachment you will get. As far as Lagos is concern, Tinubu remains the arrow head and he has been playing is card very well. He seems to be a good politician that knows when to act Ambode got a soft landing, moreover his performance was very poor, the masses wanted him out and Tinubu obliged the request of the people |

some times i really wonder why some people behave especially oshomole he dont know that this is association and his major role is to make sure that people remain in the party not to drive them a way he also forgot that fact that we have writing and unwriting Constitution where by every governor must served 2 times he does that during his time even though he was not every body choice he must allow obasaki to have his second time is not every time one must show power 2 Likes |
I continue to say this, the nonsense that happened to Ambode can only happen in Lagos. No sitting governor that knows how to weild power will tolorate such nonsense from any greedy and selfish godfather. Ambode come and see how to humble a godfather. Oshiomhole don humble. Obaseki second term is too sure.[/quote How could Ambode have dealt with Tinubu and other stakeholders in his struggle for 2.nd term. Bros, Lagos is a different turf from Edo. Let 500 of Obaseki be in Lagos, he can't succeed himself if he is not wanted. 1 Like |

MarrisManah: As it stand today is very difficult for anybody to remove Osho as the national chairman because he was duly elected and if you try to remove him through the back door litigation will cripple the party, from the little you see not quite long ago will gives that impression And again APC as a party is run by two blocks ie the Buhari block, that does not understanding politics and the Tinubu block that's a Maradona in politics. Osho belong to the Tinubu block and the Buhari group is busy controlling the government without complain. The Fayemi, Amaechi, Obaseki and Co are only just drowning and trying to weep up sentiment. They are too weak to really effect anything. Even the Obaseki APC in Edo state is not even recognised. Even if is happened that Obaseki is given the ticket today on which of the APC fraction?. Let's watch and see as event on fold. My take though. 4 Likes |
Because you read news on Nairaland you think you know politics more than a man that has been in the game probably before you were born, he has advisers, before ize iyamu decamped to APC you think he and his advisers didn't weigh possible options? Even if obaseki wins next term you think ize iyami won't benefit from it more than if he was in PDP? Or you think if oshiomhole supports ize iyamu in primaries obaseki can defeat him? Do you know ize iyamus political structure in EDO politics? Despite obaseki being an OGBE boy he doesn't have say in the palace like ize iyamu does. 2 Likes 1 Share |

helinues: You think PMB has forgiven him for allowing powers that be in APC Lagos have their way as against his (PMB) wish. The presidency has nothing to lose after all but the man in power doesn't treat disdain and contempt likely. If Oshiomole insists on having his way with Obaseki then he might as well be ready to let go that APC NWC chairmanship position. With Obaseki out of the way, APC can as well bid farewell to Edo state. Remember the election that brought in Obaseki was a contentious one that Oshiomole superpervised the manipulation. Why do you think APC have just one senatorial seat while PDP have the other two. If the APC lose the upcoming election to PDP, they can as well say "Bon Voyage" to South South. |
Re: APC Crisis: The Deal That Saved Oshiomhole by Omon605(m): 9:49am On Mar 19, 2020 |
Mikehot: The reason why Edo South is supporting Obaseki is because of the promised that he will make them governor after his tenure but I have been asking many of the Edo south a simple question. If really Obaseki mean his promise tell him to take somebody from Edo south as a running mate, because an outsider from Edo south cannot come and succeed him. He should please stop deceiving us. |

Viktom:Arrogance. It is not only the Benins that own Edo state and it is not every Benin man/woman that supports or will support Obaseki. You can only speak for yourself Mr ethnicist. Is Obaseki more Benin than Odubu, Ize Iyamu, Ogiewonyi and other aspirants in APC. We are one people and shortsighted ignoramuses always try to segregate us. 1 Like |

Yebosola: That's because there's nobody from his enclave to challenge his godfatherism. Such greed, foolishness and selfishness can never happen in my enclave, Rochas tried it , and today he can tell better the difference. Tinubu is only showing himself because he is surrounded by cowards that dare challenge him. Further politics the National level in the upcoming weeks will test a lot of things, Let's just watch and see. |

clarocuzioo: What happened to Ambode cab happen to anyone under Tinubu in any state. Tinubu is a high stake power that not only rich but has made alot of rich men within the Lagos circle to fight his battle. Any Governor that wants to remove that chair from Tinubu has a lot of pretentious sacrifices to make. He must deny himself during the first tenure to raise loyal men and steal some core loyal men thay fight Tinubus battle away from him. He must be so fair to the people he governs by being doing people oriented programs. But Ambode failed in those aspects. He acted so late and wanted to fight an august battle. It can't work never. Not with Tinubu. Oshiomole isnt Tinubu, Edo state isnt Lagos. Lagos has a lot of resources that are under Tinubu. He can afford to buy all the members of house of assembly with money. Ambode doesn't have such flex and he only needs people. These people, he already seized their sources of livelihood. This can happen to any Gov in any state that doesn't know the game of politics. Obaseki is having his day because Oshiomole hasn't made much men, Oshiomole isnt on control of Edo structures per se, Oshiomole is too potty mouth unlike Tinubu that will rather play the game than talk. Anyone who talks too much tends to offend alot of people and tend highly to open this weakness for people to see. Tinubu wanted to do what he did to Ambode to, Fashola, but he had to soft pedal because Fashola had the men within Tinubu cactus that were rooting for Fashola, and Lagos populace loved him. No one fights a political war alone. |
