So I am torn between choosing AAU or Unijos for medicine and surgery. I got 305 in jamb with 1A1 and 4B3s in WAEC. I chose AAU originally but now many people have being discouraging me, telling me that the school is very slow and that I might regret going there. So I have decided on Unijos now (as its school fee is about 100k lesser than AAU) but I am scared of one school wasting my score again and so I want to ask if I have a good chance. I am from Osun State. Ideas are welcome

No special reason. I guess it's just fear and that "be careful" part of me that doesn't want me to go there. I have tried the school before back in 2018, got 281 in jamb and applied for pharmacy but couldn't get in due to my score in putme then. Also, I am in a school already and I just struggled to read for this jamb sef leaving all my school works. I don't think I can really get the chance to read like that again for putme. Reason I want to apply to schools that don't do putme.

I would have also recommend oau but that school is highly competitive expecially medical courses even their engineering courses is quite tough to get.. i guess they consider their predegree student more though

Please don't try oau if you know you're not ready to read your ass off., UI is quite good.. they seems to be more transparent in their admission process. also, they have the whole state of the federation as their catchment area, which implies that everyone has equal chances except those from ELDS . UNILAG is also nice LASU would have also been an option had it been you're a lagosian. all those school mentioned above pay less than 50k as tuition fee

with your score and a good O level, AAU is sure bet. If it's what you want,don't waste your score else where. The fees is the only thing scaring me else I'd pick AAU.

Nice comments so far but, try and connect with some medical students in both AAU and Unijos and ask them directly. Most of them usually tell plain truths even while not convenient.. they are in best position to give you enough advise from their experience....try and make it work, don't waste your score.

One's appreciation of the English language does not necessarily determine one's success in jamb especially for science students.

If you don't want to struggle to read like that, what about the reading that would happen if you eventually get into medicine.
