How can someone even suggest church with air conditioners? Haven't they read the red zone of the virus? Coronsvirus breeds in cold environment. What d virus needs is exposure to heat. It cant survive under heat.

Shame into this country not even one government structure is as big as any of this facilities. Meanwhile I'm thinking they should use the national theatre.

We talking of churches, pls try to include mosques also.
There are large mosques auditorium in Nigeria too.
One church to one mosque if the need arise.

I seriously doubt if the owner of those facilities will allow it to be used

I won't say a word
Exactly my assertion. The sole purpose of those facilities is to generate revenue primarily from tithes, offerings, seed sowing, first fruits, etc from attendees and members. Anything contrary to that wouldn't be entertained.

The reason why Nigeria can't be better is all in the comments section of this post. The very first fruit of Christianity is love. Any church that won't give up its building for the sake of humanity is running on greed as fuel not love and definitely not God. Ditto for Mosques.

Neither does being a Christian automatically give you authority to suggest that other persons' properties be taken up by the government for whatever purpose.
The government should go and be responsible instead of looking for private individuals to bail them out. How long should it have taken a responsible government to have erected structures that serve as triage sites in every region at least?
It will amount to a high level of irresponsibility for private individuals to cover up for a mediocre government. If the government was up and doing in time past, that's another matter. If the spiritual business men to whom the church buildings belong voluntarily offer their properties for the use of the government it is a different thing. But to allow government into these expensive structures would be tantamount to inviting callous people into the buildings who are likely going to leave damages behind.

Don't be silly. I never recommended that the properties. Use your eyes, I said "Govt should initiate talks with Churches" so it can use their facility for everyone's good.

If outbreak happens won't Christians die? Why should we peril when we have a facility that can help us rathet shut and lie fallow in a crisis.
Lastly, Church property is not Private property in the sense of excluding the public. It can be borrowed for public good in a crisis.

Well, if there's an outbreak in Nigeria, the church authorities have every right to refuse too, for reasons best known to them, no one can force them.
Even if they accept, I won't put it past them to accept only card-carrying members of their Church lol.

If they refuse, then they don't deserve to be a Church

I'm not but rather you need a brain reset if it's so difficult for you to differentiate between an isolation center and rescue for hurricane. Again, go back to your irresponsible government to do the needful with the tax they collect. Churches are not isolation centres
I hope you understand churches are tax exempt for a reason eh.

hurricane is not an airborne virus.
hurricane is not transferred from one human to another.
hurricane does not give humans fever.
hurricane does not give humans cough.
hurricane does not give humans pneumonia.
hurricane does not damage the lungs of humans.
hurricane is not a deadly virus that has no cure.
e.t.c

if people suffering from covid19 are put in a hall with other people who haven't been tested but arrived from high risked countries then they will all be infected.

You are a mole in winners chapel.

You no get sense. It is not an isolation center, rather an Isolation - Treatment center for those who test positive.

In stead of Churches, boarding school and teritary institutions' hostels would be better. Churches don't have beds, bathrooms and toilets to cater for a large crowd.

So you want churches to be used as treatment centres abi, and where you will expect the worshippers to worship, it won't work o.

There's no mosque in Nigeria that can sizably carry large numbers of people. Btw I am a very long standing protege of Bishop Oyedepo. What I said here I can suggest to him to his face. And he would think the idea makes sense. Of course this suggestion is predicated on if the churches close down in an outbreak.

the virus is man-made it can't wipe out humanity..

U.S president, U.S vice president and some other U.S politicians snapped a picture with someone that tested positive some less than 2 weeks ago. but the U.S president, U.S vice president e.t.c don't have the virus..

never respond to someone with an insult or abuse unless you're a muslim and are defending your religion...
just imagine this shallow reasoning!! so we should keep contact with infected persons, and even snap pictures with them?? please just go and sleep!!
