How are you sure he is happy?
Well He was happy when the Temple was built. So by that assumption he is probably happy about glory dome, faith tabernacle, potters house and the likes.

God is not a fool, he knows man and His treacherous soul more than anyone ever. He sees how they build multi billion stadiums across the world and spend their lifetime chanting and hailing football stars but remember industries and poor people when same is done for him.

The truth is God built an entire human race for self glory, an entire league of Angels was adorned to praise Him. Whether you like it or not that is who He his. Our ambitions, economy, vision is expected to be secondary to our Worship of Him.

My life philosophy is this Nothing must be built that has never been built for God God doesn't mind his worshippers raising praises for him at Wembley stadium or O2Arena.

A truth that transcends scripture is this, whenever something good is done in God's name he seems to appreciate and accept it despite the political incorrectness. The expensive perfume used on Jesus is another example.

You are on point Mr OP.

Who needs a factory when there is a big church to pray for God's favor?

Who needs a good and standard hospital when a big church can perform miracles and heal and cure our sickness?

And why should we build our country individually when we can build big church as our own mode of development. Big churches beautifies the environment of course.

Who needs to open a big business when you can just open a big church and earn in several currencies? This atheist are too dumb to realize that our church is the business of our God and it yields its dividends.

Who needs security when it is the sole responsibility of the government. We don't need to ensure our security but blame the government when the terrorists knocks on our doors?

May God bless the big shops sorry churches of our pastors and make them flourish among the abject poverty of their sheep. And we shall by the grace of our God always contribute towards the good work of God even though all we can achieve is a mighty house in heaven.

May these fooli*h atheist perish in the everlasting fire our father is providing for them. Amen.

The builders of these mega churches should not only be commended for their visions and prudence but governments should invite them to teach accountabity. Get to Redeemed Camp, Winners Camp, Deeper life etc light and water run 24/7 security sure. Covenant University much criticized is the only university of international standard. other mission universities would soon follow while ASUU and students fight and embark on endless strikes stealing the future of our youths. Government officials who manage our natural resources and taxes embezzle the money. should churches collect money from people again for government? Thump up for visionary pastors.

Because we say God is the same Today, Yesterday and Forever. Therefore precedence is very important in deciphering who God is. The old testament is very complex to understand by mere human understanding because unlike the biblical new testament that was written over 1 or 2 generations it(OT) was written over thousands of years.
But two things are clear all through scriptures
1) God loves people even before Jesus died for man's sins.
2) God also loves worship

He would rather the two be done simultaneously rather than one exclusively.
If you give all your belongings to the poor, a kidney for the sick and reject Jesus you are going to hell fire. This is why when God saw the good and humanity of cornelius he couldn't think of any thing to give him than to give him salvation. Many of humanity's greatest philanthropist have been courted by Jesus but they have refused him in arrogance and pride and unfortunately they would pay for it. They would see worse men make it to heaven before they do. Therefore it would be risky to do one without the other.

When i take my last breath i want to know i served the poor, i built great cathedrals, sponsored mission trips and above all my name is in the book of life.

OP you're pure evil WOW!

How many temples was built during the during the time of Solomon? Solomon built ONE(1) temple for all of Israel, so this men of god that claim to be directed by the "holy spirit" why can't they build one temple like Solomon since you want to make that comparison.

Why do "Oyedopo's sons" need different mega structures if they're really inspired by god and not
greed?!

Oyedopo built his, eneche followed and David's own shrine is under construction. Why's it that they're all following the same template?
1) build church
2) build expensive school
3) build a city
4) rinse and repeat
If this doesn't tell you no God sent this men I don't know what will, but you're blinded by greed and ignorance and you feel "oh if I keep supporting them one day I will get mine"

Of course "god" is happy that an impoverished nation like Nigeria is building temples for him, he's sooooooo happy that he's blessing us. Last week while the dedication of the "glory dome" was going on we lost our biggest oil buyer....thank you god!
Ritual killings is on the all time high because of the level of poverty and hunger...you're awesome god!

Compare now to when the Pentecostal vampires haven't flooded Nigeria to then when we had fewer churches and no mega structures....god is really really happy!

Thank you daddy god!!!!

In the good book, giving to the poor was emphasized over and over and over by Jesus and the apostles yet..... If you build temples but dont give enough you are also going to hell. Did you also read were it said humans are the temples now unlike in the old testament? What you give to the poor you give to God hope you remember that part? We should not only select just the part that fits an agenda and curse others suggesting the bible be read and followed intoto not cherry picked for self aggrandizement like your pastors do.

I love your summary and this is all people like me are saying. Also you remember you wrote this sometime ago so if you are not trying to deceive yourself, also know that the Nigerian Church has to do better not just building auditoriums up abd down:

The missionaries of Old had Strategy the Churches of today lack it badly. Only the gospel of Christ can change Nigeria for better. Until we turn Boko fighters to jesus, then feed, educate and clothe the Almajiri and turn back south to reset all the malfunctioning Christians we have done nothing.

Can we the Church build world class IDPs in safe places in the North East, welcome the Muslim and Christian women - feed, clothe and educate their children and watch as loyalties shift from mohammed to Jesus. And more importantly they will shift their children's loyalty.

The Missionaries didn't succeed in Christian izing half the nation because they had better preachers than we have, but they succeeded because they treated ppl better than the indigenous gods. People weighed it, "A God that provides Education, Healthcare and claims to love me to a god that wants human blood and collects my tubers of Yam every season". Sure enough the illiterate idol worshippers abandoned their burdensome gods and followed Jesus.

The Church must begin to think and act strategically.

So take it easy and ask your pastors to too when condeming those advocating for thesame things you acknowledged there.

religious leaders do not care about the welfare of their members. They're more concerned with building more churches and auditorium. that is a big cause to worry.

Yes they built schools which today is reducing education tourism. Winners secondary school produced the highest jamb scorer Isreal gala(364)

Yes they build cities to reduce the 17 million housing deficit in Nigeria and to give members befitting residence which the govt has failed to provide.

On questions regarding the number of Churches. Nigeria today is several times bigger than the Isreal of Old, therefore we need multiple worship centres na. I can't travel to glory dome, Abuja from Lagos just to worship. Unlike the Isrealites they spend days if not weeks to reach the temple.

Is Church collecting your Corporate Income Tax?
Is Church collecting your VAT?
Is church handling your Ministry of Trade, Economy?
Is church collecting your customs duty?
Is church collecting your PayE?
Is it the Church that selected your leaders?

Be asking for security as though Pope Francis military guards Italy.
Be asking for big businesses as though Archbishop welby of England owns the manufacturing plants in UK
Be asking for beautiful environment as though it was TD jakes that did landscaping for Texas.

I don't think anybody is against the Church because there was Church before most of us were born.

The truth what a lot has refused to understand that the member/individual that are in that Church that are the Church, not Biggest Temple or structure, if Nigeria is the poorest people in the world it means majority of the members are poor, of what use is the billions of Naira structure when over 70% members are hungry/poor? It's only a person without Conscience that will see his brother in pains/suffering and look the other side as if it doesn't concern him not to say of a Christian.
Christians have being praying and are still praying yet things are still difficult/getting worst, the question is are they doing the right thing? Where is the Love that Christ preached? Some of what they are praying for is what they have solution to but they ignorantly praying(complaining).

Really the schools they built is reducing educational tourism?! Why are you lying and deceptive like your fathers? Even on Nairaland a quick stroll to the travel section will prove you wrong.

Couple of months ago there was a thread on this same Nairaland that even disputes this.
Do you know the highest jamb scorer last year or two years ago?! No! Why? Because no body gives a flying Bleep. Before winners secondary school came into existence people have been scoring high in JAMB so that's NOT an achievement.

Why can't they build hospitals and reduce medical tourism?

Nigeria today is bigger than Israel?! Back this up with facts please. Nobody is saying don't build church heck my street alone has over 6 churches. why the competition to build mega churches? How come mega churches is the new vision from the "holy spirit"? Yesterday it was private jet, school now mega churches.

Why don't this men have different visions? How come they go for the profitable "visions". How are they solving the housing deficit when their houses are not affordable? You can only say they're solving the housing deficit if NO member of their church is homeless not when members that can afford a house in lekki but decides to buy a house in the church camp instead.

With modern technology nobody has to spend days on the road going to church, you can watch it on TV, YouTube or via other channels.

They aren't building mega churches because they want to save your soul rather because they want to take your money.

Building only Cathedrals without equal or even more focus on those weightier matters you youself pointed out is wrong. Remember what Jesus told the rich man who talked good on how he gives to the church....."sell all you have, give it to the poor"........can any of the pastors do what Jesus said ...."sell all and give to the poor" or can they do what the apostles did.....share contributions to the poor....until then their big cathedrals are, you know............

The following 3 things happened and you didn't know about it.

* Winners give 500 million naira to widows.
* Winners gave largest consignment to Ikeja bomb blast victims
*RCCG gives 200 million naira to build cadam in epe.
*Winners loans Liberian govt $500,000
The church has no website to publish any givings and that is ok. Every year the living faith church budgets billions for the poor. Oyedepo funds 15 NGOs in Nigeria, all accident victims in omuaran are given free treatment etc. but there is no need for unnecessary publications.

This is all good. Is it enough compared to what they can actually do and the problems abounding which you even enumerated? Is it even anything compared to those even as you yourself listed? When was the ikeja bomb blast how much % of that compared to what winners get every other month? Are they appreciating the call to do more in that area so we know somewhere along the line they will focus there as needed or cursing those who make the call?

Missionaries didnt have to announce their humanitarrian deeds because we see them everywhere donkey years later as they are too many. Even doing half of the things you enumerated will not need to be announced before people will notice, commend and emulate thereby improving the society with the avalanche effect.

Mission activities where in times past sponsored by various govts. Until the 1950s the US govt was sponsoring missionary activities. Many of the schools and hospitals built by missions where funded by govt. Which Nigerian govt is willing to support the church?

Which govt has said to Nigerian churches, build Covenant uni and let us supply you with lecturers so it can be free?

Which govt has said to churches build and equip the hospitals we would supply you with doctors?

The churches have to build from scratch, equip, employ and then you expect it to be free. How do you expect them to sustain recurrent expenditure.

So are you saying the church cant/dont have the funds to do the things you enumerated and appreciate they should do?

What it takes to buy and maintain private jets, cant it do some of the things you mentioned? What happened to church contribution - only good for building auditoriums and personal acquisitions? Will members not volunteers to put in service to humanitarian efforts without pay? US sure sponsored missionaries but that was mainly to make what missionaries were already doing bigger not to kick start it as missionaries where using church contributions to forward their humanitarian effort anyway. Also apostles didnt wait for government before they shared church contributions to the poor and made that a culture so government is not a good excuse look for another or.......
If the preaching of the church cannot motivate people to volunteer to serve with little or no pay to reduce the cost of running the humanitarian structures then, dont you think the Church and its preaching is not effective or flawed?

Amen.

Hallelujah!!!

You failed woefully in your quest to mock the Church.

Before you call any Christian Sheepple, you need to ask yourself some question and be sure you are sincere in your answers. Of course your likes are never sincere people, because either by crook or crude you must win every battle you wage on Christians.

"Sheepple" according to the usage by the one who started it Freeze, means gullible Christians.

Gullible according to the dictionary means deceived and it could mean foolish also.

Now who are the foolish?

If all the members of Winners for exampled are foolish then does it make sense to think that the multitude of winners comprising of different cadres of people worldwide are gullible or Stupid. Among them are Lawyers, Judges, Professors , Engineers, Politicians of high caliber. Soldiers etc etc etc. (Right thinking people)

Would it make sense to say millions of these people are gullible people? Stupid people who are being deceived?

It is only Stupid to call these Christians Gullible. If you say you don't understand why they do what they do, it is accepted, but to call them gullible is Pure Senselessness.

My guy the truth of the matter is there is something unique about Christianity that only , I mean only Christians understand. And that simple thing is the reason why they will give and give and give without looking back at the Critics of their actions.

Take a trip to these Churches and see that the people you call stupid or foolish are Happy , Radiant looking people, Comfortable people who are from different languages and cultures of the world.

They are not retched like you guys portray them. Fleets of Sleek Cars are parked at the Car Parks of these Churches at every service. Their selfless giving has no negative effect on them. Attend the services and see Joy unspeakable in the Church.

Is this Staged every service by everyone?
Oooh No! It can't be!

About the poor among them?

Oh Yes! There will always be poor people in the world and the church too is part of the world.

Jesus said in the Bible " The poor you will always have among you" He knows there will always be poor people in the church, The poor widow who Jesus commended was truly poor and yet she gave an offering.

As beautiful and well organized America , Canada, France and other civilized Countries are, there are still poor people among them , in fact people so poor that they don't have a home. Homeless! Beggars!

So what's is so special in poor people found in the Church?

Is that the reason why Offerings won't be taken again?

Is Church offering taken by force?

So what now makes the people gullible?

Finally you and your likes are suffering from a disease called "Christianophobia"

Its defined as darkness' fight against the light .

You will always find fault in every action of the Church even if all Churches today announce that Tithes and Offerings are stopped till eternity. You guys will still find something negative to say about the Church. It is not New. Jesus Himself confirmed that there would be persecutions and your actions are part of it.

My advice to you and your likes is go get a life!

We enjoy our gullibility as long as it pays us , it gives us joy, we don't lack any good thing by giving. And we will continue to give and build Church Domes. So wail from now till eternity we continue to give. Na our Money, It should not be your headache and if it is, it has no other name but Madness.

If spending my money is your headache. It is called Madness
