You are free to twist the scriptures to satisfy your hearts desire. The letter killeth, the spirit giveth life. The scripture is clear, love is unconditional. It is better to be the good samaritan than to be the priest. We all forget that part of the bible that says the temple would be destroyed that not even one stone will remain upon itself. The huge church edifices we build will one day crumble when the world passes away. We keep forgeting this world won't last. It is our good works that will speak at the end of the age. codemaniacs: 1 Like |

/ Developed nations have some of the biggest corporations in the world. Poor nations have some of the biggest churches in the world. When it comes down to it, the poor nations look up to the developed nations for grants, loans, handouts to get the basic things in life. Who is deceiving who? Who is stupid? Coronavirus? They closed the churches and beg the corporations to find solution. Religion is funny indeed. \ 4 Likes |

HigherEd: Your write-up is great. However, the FG should start by converting hotels to temporal isolation centers. The FG has the money to rent the hotels for a temporal period. Also, all those state government lodges at my backyard here in Asokoro , Abuja that are rarely used should also be converted to isolation centers. |

OP you have not considered hotels in Nigeria. Just for you to know... Sheraton hotel abuja up to 600 rooms Transcopr abuja up to 900 Sheraton Ikeja up to 400 rooms Eko hotel up to 600 rooms etc. Each room can take minimum of 3 hospital beds. That is already more than 7,500 beds from these 4 hotels alone. I am very certain the owners will surrender them to government free of charge for humanitarian purpose just like we expect the churches to do. 1 Like |

If the churches refuse to allow their facilities to used as emergency hospital then they should be taxed. |

codemaniacs:I just stated the obvious, the topic said "3 Nigerian Churches", not 3 religious places of worship. I won't indulge you in meaningless religious fight for two reasons - 1. You can't read and comprehend a simple post. 2. Lastly, I am a Christian and not a Muslim. Take your crass ignorance somewhere else, thanks. 1 Like |

sulaak: Haven't you heard that churches don't have toilets or you want to increase the risk of contracting other diseases? Besides what is the use of hotels when humanity will be wiped out? Even the hotel workers already contracted the virus in the scenario painted by the OP. 1 Like |

sulaak: Imam Sulaak, it looks like your grouse is the non-payment of taxes by churches. This your solution is as good as asking government to build sufficient and well equipped hospitals across the country in 4 weeks. |

SEGLIZ: You need to be enlightened, they built it from scratch. It just that the materials used are not like conventional materials used for house building. In your book, state is bigger than church, probably your church. But while states are enacted by people. Church is a spiritual force to be reckon with. Thus church are given licence by state but it just formality. Good ordained churches ARE FAR BIGGER THAN STATE. |
