[s]A lot of Nigerian Christians lack the depth to understand what Christianity is really about. I made a post that calls the Church to sacrifice and be a tool for the rescue of the nation and someone(probably Christian) goes to counter my opinion which he believes is Antichrist.

The beauty of Christianity shuns in darkness and every trying time. The Europeans left the comforts of Europe and many sank in the sea to bring the black race to Jesus. Many abandoned family to treat and school the African generation. Today, many of their graves lie scattered across sub Saharan Africa. They sacrificed for you - they didn't say let the Arabs teach them or give them civilization[/s].

Today, you are asked to rent your church building to save yourselves from dying. Yet you are showing yourselves high wickedness. You would rather argue that Muslims should be forced to sacrifice mosque. Jeez I can't deal.

Please, stop this self hate, forever, I beg you
What did you just type? Are these your thoughts? And feelings? Originating from your core? No it’s not darling. It’s years and years of indoctrination, having you hating subconsciously on yourself and your kind and your culture
Mental slavery is real, and it’s huge, and it is heart breaking cry

You are free to twist the scriptures to satisfy your hearts desire. The letter killeth, the spirit giveth life. The scripture is clear, love is unconditional. It is better to be the good samaritan than to be the priest. We all forget that part of the bible that says the temple would be destroyed that not even one stone will remain upon itself. The huge church edifices we build will one day crumble when the world passes away. We keep forgeting this world won't last. It is our good works that will speak at the end of the age.

the very first fruit of Christianity is "love your neighbor as you love yourself", which means look out for your interests first not love foolishly. the british that brought christianity didn't build any university in Nigeria they built a college and some schools ( less than 20 ).

they didn't use southern Nigeria resources to empower southern Nigerians,
they didn't use southern Nigeria resources to lift southern Nigerians from poverty,
they didn't use southern Nigeria resources to build cities in southern Nigeria

instead joined northern and southern Nigeria together and gave northern Nigeria more than half of southern Nigeria's resources, they sell weapons to Nigeria so that Nigerians can kill themselves instead of selling knowledge, technology knowhow..

where is the love?

Developed nations have some of the biggest corporations in the world.

Poor nations have some of the biggest churches in the world.

When it comes down to it, the poor nations look up to the developed nations for grants, loans, handouts to get the basic things in life.

Who is deceiving who? Who is stupid? Coronavirus? They closed the churches and beg the corporations to find solution. Religion is funny indeed.

Finger Of God Cathedral, Porth Harcourt, Nigeria

The Finger of God Cathedral is the upcoming largest cathedral in the world designed to house 120,000 worshippers. It is being built with an enclosed air condition system. Also, the Finger of God is segregated into multiple arms and can be used to segregate patients according to their severity of infection.

Like Glory Dome and Faith Tabernacle it will most likely run on independent power also. And its construction can be sped up with Government funding to serve as a treatment zone for about 5,000 - 7,000 people in South South/South East Zones.

Your write-up is great. However, the FG should start by converting hotels to temporal isolation centers. The FG has the money to rent the hotels for a temporal period. Also, all those state government lodges at my backyard here in Asokoro , Abuja that are rarely used should also be converted to isolation centers.

OP you have not considered hotels in Nigeria. Just for you to know...
Sheraton hotel abuja up to 600 rooms
Transcopr abuja up to 900
Sheraton Ikeja up to 400 rooms
Eko hotel up to 600 rooms etc.

Each room can take minimum of 3 hospital beds. That is already more than 7,500 beds from these 4 hotels alone. I am very certain the owners will surrender them to government free of charge for humanitarian purpose just like we expect the churches to do.

If the churches refuse to allow their facilities to used as emergency hospital then they should be taxed.

Hotel's are businesses, Churches are supposed to be charity. The churches are the best facilities for hosting emergency hospital.

hypocrites everywhere...

like your fellow m:uslim Sermwell said "if the virus wipe out humanity, that mosque/church you are fighting for will become useless".
I just stated the obvious, the topic said "3 Nigerian Churches", not 3 religious places of worship.
I won't indulge you in meaningless religious fight for two reasons -
1. You can't read and comprehend a simple post.
2. Lastly, I am a Christian and not a Muslim.
Take your crass ignorance somewhere else, thanks.

China built huge facilities within the space of few days. Buhari should be ready to do the same since he bluntly refused to close the border against effected nations

China doesn't have large churches that are considered charities and don't pay taxes.

Haven't you heard that churches don't have toilets or you want to increase the risk of contracting other diseases?

Besides what is the use of hotels when humanity will be wiped out? Even the hotel workers already contracted the virus in the scenario painted by the OP. grin

Dear Op, so you can't convert private owned hospitals in each state for such purposes, you had to talk about large churches not fitted for such emergency purposes??!... What sort of a backward reasoning is that??!...

Every state has at least a major hospital at her disposal for such cases... It is not like we will have something worse than China or Italy... I wonder why you people reason so ridiculously far!!! Why put up such unnecessary posts??!

Una go just dey form half witted intelligence... Better expend more time in pushing your health ministry to do what they should have done over a month ago, instead of trying to add religious crisis to the panic room we have on ground.

Private hospitals are private businesses. A church is a charity, they should be the first to volunteer to help the weak and poor.

The rich pastors will volunteer portable toilet, clean water and social worker. Charity begins at home, let's see the real churches and the fake one.

Imam Sulaak, it looks like your grouse is the non-payment of taxes by churches. This your solution is as good as asking government to build sufficient and well equipped hospitals across the country in 4 weeks.

I'm hearing this for the first time, that the church is bigger than the state. that is rather funny. mind the state license the churches.
when you were told the Chinese government built a facility within weeks that don't mean they built from scratch but an already existing building was fortified to serve the purpose of isolation centre.

You need to be enlightened, they built it from scratch. It just that the materials used are not like conventional materials used for house building.

In your book, state is bigger than church, probably your church. But while states are enacted by people. Church is a spiritual force to be reckon with. Thus church are given licence by state but it just formality. Good ordained churches ARE FAR BIGGER THAN STATE.

Very good. When the churches are filled, can the mosques now join? I am also certain the moslem faithfuls will also rally round to provide any lacking amenities and social worker. Or aren't mosques charitable too?
