However, if any other bonafide party members show interest in the election, what the law says is that there must be party primaries to elect the flag bearer of the party.

What I know for sure is that the sky is still cloudy for both Obaseki and Aketi.

Obaseki showed the worst he could without knowing that Oshiomole would be returned. He stepped on so many toes. If he was so popular and powerful as claimed, he shouldn't have gone to that extent. He fought so dirty. He should learn very well from the past. Yes, you may call Ambode a coward, but he's not. He knows what's at stake. Do your thing maturely. If the people want you, you'll get there. The voice of Man is the voice of God. Fashola also faced shits but you won't see him going to all these extent. It's simply not a do or die affairs. Did you remember NGF election that produced Amaechi as the chairman? You know Jonathan failed to recognize him as the chairman, at the end of the day you saw what played out. Same as the Edo state house of Assembly. The minority are ruling over the majority. Did you see the majority turning their back against Oshiomole? It simply shows he still holds the aces.

On Ondo state, truth be told Akeredolu has done nothing to warrant a second term ticket. If we have a formidable party system, he would have been booted out like Zuma in South Africa. He never planned a second term for himself. He was lambasting Kings, desert friends, talk rashly to his subjects and neglected the good people of Ondo state. The state structure was handed to his Wife, Betty and his son, popularly know as Baba. His Deputy, Agboola Ajayi is a politician who has been bridging the gaps but he is also shooting for the governorship slot. It's even rumored that he'll be dropping him as his running mate. I can bet that his Deputy will leave him before he tries to disgrace him. Now that he's showing interest he's now trying to go behind the door to get an alaba automatic ticket. It's becoming glaring to him as all other candidates in his party are ganging up to fly a single candidate under Unity forum. You have the likes of Senate deputy leader, Prof Ajayi Boroffice (a third term senator), Chief Olusola Oke (SAN), a former legal adviser for PDP at the national level, the South west campaign DG for Buhari in 2019 elections and the Lead counsel for Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, Bar Isaac Kekemeke, the former APC chairman in Ondo state, Ifedayo Oyedele, one of the board directors of PHCN and the likes...let's wait and see how it goes

In all, let the people decide who governs them.
