Hi guys. So I have been following this thread for years and today I have good news as I just saw my IELTS result.

Apr 2018 - IELTS - LRWS 7.5, 9, 6.5, 8 First attempt (BC)
July 2018 - WES - Bachelor's degree (4 years)
July 2018 - CRS Score 398
Dec 2019 - Finished MBA
Mar 2020 - WES - Evaluation ongoing (COVID19 issue)

Mar 2020 - IELTS - LRWS 9,9,7.5,7.5 Second attempt (MOD)

CRS score about to jump to 474+

I used ieltsliz and ieltsonlinetests to prepare.

Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this thread. God bless you all.

Sorry about your result, trust me I know how you feel now. My advise is to cry as much as you want but make sure you try re-writing the exam again, register for the next exam if you can.

You can still evaluate her credentials as Plan B.

Hello guys, thanks for all the amazing info you keep sharing here, been following for awhile now.
I just saw my IELTS results and I am weeping. LRWS 7.5/8.5/7.5/8
Wifey: LRWS 8.5/7.5/7/7.5
I don't think I am ready for the emotional drama of rewriting the IELTS. I have evaluated my transcript but didn't bother evaluating wifey's own because I was to be the PA. I have a Masters degree, Wifey has CIPM and BSC. I guess I will just begin the long journey of evaluating her credentials. WES, reference letter from previous employer and I would have been sitting at 476 if I at least got an 8 in listening an ITA would have been sure. If Wifey becomes the PA, we can get be at a 484 but that's months of waiting for ECA evaluation and going to get reference letters from current and previous employers. Please I need wise counsel. Thanks fam

Hello Everyone,

Please, WES evaluated one of the certificates presented as "Canadian Equivalency: Diploma (three years) and postgraduate certificate (one year)". However, I did not see an option of 2 or more certificates. I only have Bachelor, then Masters, so I'm a bit confuse as to what to pick. Please I need help on these.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement. i just never thought I will need to write the IELTS more than once. Please what are my chances of having it changed if I remark? thanks

Guys, my heart bleeds.
I just saw my IELTS result now and it's a disaster. My 1st attempt was last year May and I had LRWS 7.5,8.5,7,7 and age has done me strong thing.
I decided to retake IELTS to boost my CRS.
I was really very sick during my test, the migraine was so strong, yet I thought I would have challenge only with writing because I was busy writing task1 on task2 sheet. It was at the end of 20 minutes that I realised I had made a grave mistake, I quickly transferred to the correct sheet and started task2 and luckily I was able to finish before time. To God be the glory!
But now, I'm devastated, Listening has remained my problem. LRWS 7, 7, 7.5, 7.5 cry
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by EyesondPrize: 5:21pm On Mar 20, 2020
Congratulations!!!... you did not max out in Listening and reading so you still have 6 points to claim. This is assuming the 6 points can shoot your score to 470

Queenmaker:
Hello everyone. Permit me to share my ielts experience. I had my result today. First attempt, British council.
LRWS-8,7.5,7.5,7.5. This suits me, as no amount maxing out can give me the 470tish score.(my bad).
Age isn't my bestie shocked, so, I'm opting for PNP grin.
Anyway...
.

I wish everyone the best ooo.

this so painful, but you will still have to do it again, you know we don't quit. i fully understand your situation presently. believe me you'll cross this hurdle have been through this and i survived it. just wait a bit and give it time to practice and i strongly believe you'd get it done. it will end in praise

Ermm...I think people are advised not to remark Listening and Reading. You can try your luck if you have the cash, though I wouldn’t advise anyone to remark those two components.

Note: I think one or two persons have posted their testimonials about getting an upgrade in one or both components

I currently have a CRS score of446, so the 6 points won't make any difference?
Thank you.

Hello guys. I just saw my IELTS result and I want to share with you all. Thanks for your numerous contributions and selfless advice.

Date: Mar 12th
Mode: CBT British Council
LRWS: 8/8/7/7.5 (Writing result would have been better but for some silly mistakes i made in task 1)

This is my 1st attempt, I chose CBT because i get easily distracted with anything during listening. I also hate anything writing so I contacted @blissnenye based on the success stories I read here. Her method of teaching is excellent and she makes writing easy and fun. Thank you bliss.

I prepared for three weeks using ieltsonlinetests and Jay on youtube.

I know i may need to rewrite IELTS so as to ace it because i need all the points i can get since age is not favorable but for now, over to TEF thread.
THANK YOU

Hallo. Please how can I reach you?

Hello house I am a 39 year old man with a family of 5 including myself. I have a Bachelors degree, no Masters or PhD. I also do not speak French. I have a thriving business and sufficient work experience.

With this information, I saw that my chances for express entry to Canada are very slim. Except if there's a way, I'm open to suggestions.

I want to know my chances of getting PR through doing a masters program for myself and my family. My wife has a Masters degree by the way.

Please your responses are eagerly anticipated and highly valued. Thanks.

With this new breakdown, if they can invite close to 3500 on the next draw, there should be hope for 468 and below

How old is your wife? She could be the principal applicant if she is younger. You should also simulate your CRS point using the CRS calculator. A quick google search would point you to that.

Lol. Get a master's degree and evaluate, max out ielts, max out TEF, evaluate your wife's master's, she maxes out ielts, all before you turn 42, then you have a chance if crs scores remain relatively constant. lol again

There are many other immigration paths though. PNP is the most likely of them

Here is my concern. Doing a masters program and acing my IELTS still will not give me upto 450 points. I have used CRS calculator to permutate for this possibility.

Also, TEF is not an option for me, as I really do not have the time or ear to pick up French language for now.

What do you think about me applying for Study visa to Canada for A masters program. Can I get admission at my age, considering I've left university a long time ago? More importantly can I get PR for myself and family via this route?

You mentioned other means like provincial Nomination. How feasible is that? How do I go about it?

If money was not a problem, what other means would you recommend?

Your response is valued and appreciated.
