Thanks, the car just arrived 3 days ago with 205/55 r16 and I notice the low clearance.

OK great... Whatever you do, please do not listen to any one that will tell you to raise the car by adjusting the spring.

Please someone should assist me. I bought four brand new tyres for my car- a Toyota Siena. Factory tyres were 205/60/16 but I upgraded to 215/65/16 but unfortunately the back tyres were touching the struts so I was advised to use 215/60/R16 for the back while the front remained 215/65/R16.

Please will this have any impact on the vehicle? May be my mind is playing games with me that the car is consuming fuel.

Please any negative impact on the vehicle?

Tnx

I went back in time to check old posts to see vehicle type, a Toyota Sienna 1999. I have a problem with this statement, because it should not be possible .

Is it possible you installed struts with larger than normal diameter? (In ladipo language e go work am)

AmandaLuv:
I wish to thank everyone for ur assistance so far. AutoElectNg, nurey and all. My vehicle is back to normal, noiseless engine/movement grin
I had to remove all four shocks that was raised, bought a new replacement, changed the camber, installed new brake pad and viola, problem went away.
Now i know that all the while i've been hating on my vehicle for being too low to the ground and damaging my bumper was a shock problem.
I've never enjoyed this ride before like now, tires r solid to d ground i hardly feel potholes anymore.
Tnx alot esp to nurey, u r the best.
@nurey, i got the shocks at 16k for the two front(belgium) and 15k for the rear(new ones/china)

post pics of what is touching where, if not we are all doing guess work.

Vehicle should be able to fit 215/65/16 without any issues.

Camry rear setup is different from sienna. Sienna strut and springs are side by side, camry own is married together

Dear House,

I intend going into E-hailing and 2 cars has been suggested to me which are;

1. Nissan Sentra 2005
2. Kia Cerato 2008

In terms of reliability, ruggedity, access to/ cheapness of spare parts, and also the price of the engine should an unforeseen issue surface, which would you advise I go for.

Your suggestions will be of great help in decision making.

You probably need to top the gas

Just did but only gets cold in the morning and evening.

Blows only air during hot sun and its makes the engine very hot (causing the water in the radiator to dry).

A lot of people complain about engine and transmission... But belive you me one of the biggest toughest problem to fix in a car is the Ac.

Whoa. Any particular reason why we shouldn't do this? Because I'm about taking delivery of a 2013 Camry SE and I was thinking of raising it.

Good morning folks. Please what coolant should I use for my 2006 C class.

Again, should I trust car wash guys to clean my engine bay? If not how do I go about it? I want it sparkling.

With time you'll get use to it... Climb bump slowly... And for port hole put one leg in pothole and one leg outside the pothole, if you can't avoid it.

It took me say 2 weeks after which no more issues. You will love the handling of this ride.

You can also try using larger tyres.

Plz sir what size of tires do you recommend?
Re: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by debeey87(m): 9:54am On Mar 22, 2020
An auto shop was recommending this 20W-50 for me for my next oil change. See attached picture saying that it's is semi-synthetic.

Also is Mobil SHP recommended for an 09 Corolla?. According to them, it's cheaper and I can change that with filter every 3months. My last change was a 5W-30

radautoworks:

See below. 0w20 will give you the best fuel economy. Hopefully they haven't been using 20w50 before.

Email support in my signature for quote please.

Never try that nonsense crap if you want that car to serve you.

Mobil XHP = No. The recommended oil for an 09 Corolla is 0W-20, 20W-50 is the wrongest oil you can ever use.

If you have been using 5w-30, there are fairly affordable options that'll last 5k miles with a good filter but if you can't afford those then Mobil 2000 could be an option.

Thanks for the advise too. I've used my current oil(5W-30) for 3300km. Guess I still have a few more kms to go before replacement.

My transmission and gear oil hasn't been changes since I started using my car. What are the signs(mostly physical) of a need for a change.

Thanks for your time

Good afternoon great Engineers
Pls I have a camry 2.2 tiny light. The car runs fine but whenever I engage the gear and AC the engine stutters on idle and keeps jerking till I move. We ve serviced nozzle and injector mouth.. Still the problem persists, the mech has even increased my firing system above 1RPM yet to show. Am wondering if I can get the solution to my problem.

my 2002 QX4 is having MAF issues. This was confirmed by OBD II scans. Codes erased and it keeps popping up. Bought a brand new MAF (not OEM ), it didn't make any difference. Tried different used MAFs from the parts market here in Enugu, they were all misbehaving.
Is there any Nissan expert that is based in Enugu in this forum?
Radautoworks , for how much can I get an OEM MAF sensor from you?

It's not in stock and will take 7-10 days maybe now with all this upheaval http://weblink.carquest.com/acl/?mfgName=MAF&partNumber=MA205 N72,945 with a 2 year warranty at current exchange rate

I don't think that's your problem though... What's the exact code you are getting and is it the only one? Include exact code description as given by scanner too.

NO angry

Also, ATF doesn't not need regular changing. Usually at over 100k miles. Each vehicle specifies when.

That's not a compressor issue most likely my former AC use to be like that till it even spoilt the compressor ND stopped getting cold

It's with other components like condenser filter expansion valve ND co meet a professional let them help u remove and flush the components especially the ones inside underneath the Compartment Box (Safe) in front of passenger seat doing all that can get the issue cleared off

If u don't do something about it most likely after some months the compressor will go coz it's finding it hard to work

Reasons why I believe it's my exact problem:
DTC code reoccurring. At idle, if you erase codes and put off the engine. Start it again and check engine pops up. I will scan it again and will get MASS Air flow code immediately. Changing different MAFs gives different performances. The malfunction is even inconsistent. start the vehicle this minute and it will rev fine. Off the engine and start it immediately again and it won't rev fine.

P0100 Mass or Air volume circuit (permanent) you might have solved this.

P0505 Idle Air control system (intermittent)
you car problem is with the throttle mouth or injector head, the iac sensor is blocked or bad, either you change it or service it.
