Yenefer:Take your chances, if you want. But do it responsibly. Which means observe social distancing and mind what you touch and wash your hands daily. If you think going out there and throwing caution to the wind is the best option for you, then so be it. But don't put others at risk, because I'm sure some people genuinely care about staying safe and not putting them and their family at risk. |

kponkedenge:Even if it gets to them, they and most other Nigerians will recover from it... Even the index case recovered remarkably and enviably... Over 300,000 cases world wide, with far more recoveries than deaths... But, nope, let's all focus on the deaths... Let's focus on the negatives.... Let's all die of fear and depression... Sir, go get busy living.... If you can't spread hope and solutions, log off and stay miserable in your own cocoon!!! This message is for you and others here obsessed with worst case scenarios... |

Liposure:I tell you, any thing Oyibo hype, we just follow am shipishly. The kind of attention we are given this Covid-19, if we had done the same to malaria, we would have had a Nigeria with zero malaria or typhoid etc. |

I will say this again for the tenth time and counting... Nigeria will shock the world soon. A responsible Govt considering the size of its populace and also the mentality and illiteracy level of its populace would have taken drastic measures many many weeks ago. How do I convince my aged Christian mom who is not so literate that she stands on harm way if she goes to the Sunday service today. I am distances away from her and cannot implement my cautions on her besides that be disrespectful in the African setting. Same applies to many homes and worse. As I am typing now, the air is buzzing with different church loudspeakers holding Sunday services. Oh we love and trust God but we don't want to test him. Only God can help Nigeria. I fear for my state because na we like travel pass any other thing. I fear for Edo state and shockingly not a single test centre is in the heart of the state. God help us all because we all know how Nigeria matter they different. |

showafrica:Yes you are right with your assertions but the problem with the covid19 is its mortality rate for the elderly (aged), it's not merciful for them unlike malaria... And also it's easily transmitted through the air and touch unlike malaria. Also any youth with an underlying health condition like asthma, Diabetes ,heart problems and so on are at high risk of dying too. This isn't so with malaria. So there are some crazy differences, no one wants to get sick and also no country will want to have such easily transmitted illness brought into their country. So every country has to be responsible and curb this. |

AmazingELixir: gullible. When has Nigeria ever go anything right? So you believe this number?Lol. Certainly, more than 1,000 people are with this sickness and they'll think its high temperature/fever. Remember, this virus can stay in the host (body) for 2 weeks+ before showing signs Only God can help us now. |

Yenefer:U watch too much sci fi movies and history channel, see how paranoid u have become. Do u want to contact the virus to know 1st hand it’s a virus and it’s real? because ur conspiracy theories of which Ive heard like 6 different versions is blinding u from the facts and reality to smtnelse totally unrelated. Get a grip on urself and work with facts not hunches and wild imaginations. Sm Christians too have their own theories which have no sound biblical backing. It’s quite interesting how fear plays with peoples minds. |

badboy92:Are you serious? Sore throat and cough are one of the early signs. Where have you been recently? Self-isolate now just to be safe. If you stay in a shared house, stay away from other as much as you can. Look up the NCDC number and call them. I think they can arrange to have you tested. It's not exactly fatal if you're healthy, but you risk spreading it if indeed you have it and don't isolate yourself. |

Yenefer:You are obviously mad. The dead in China and Italy is hysteria? The first case of COVID in Italy was discovered in January 31, and by today less than 2 months after there are more than 4000 death. Maybe if some of your relatives are amongst them you will not be making irresponsible comments. We have a huge problem on our hands and the earlier we address the severity the better for the world and especially for Nigeria. |

Liposure:Liposure, trust me, Coro is not a distraction. I used to think like you do cos I always wondered that there were several other more deadly diseases than Coro which did not receive this much attention, until I discovered as follows: - The reason Coro requires urgent measures is because of its unprecedented HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS nature, which significantly exceeds other deadly diseases such as SARS, MERS, HIV, EBOLA, CHOLERA, SWINE FLU etc. - Although the death rate is relatively low, (at an average of about 2 - 3%), the number of deaths is still high because a large number of people are getting infected. - To be clear, if Coro is left unchecked and no travel control measures are put in place, it may infect up to half of the world's population within a year that is about 3.5billion people. When you apply the supposedly low 2.5% death rate to the infected population, this will translate to over 875million lost souls, which will make it the deadliest pandemic ever in world history! - Accordingly, Governments cannot fold their arms and just let another holocaust happen. This justifies the attention it is receiving globally. |
