APC CRISIS: Oshiomhole prefers to die than supporting Obaseki as Edo Governor

The battle for the "body and soul" of Edo State has reached feverish height.

The two camps- Governor Godwin Obaseki's and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Adams Oshiomhole's are talking tough.

But, Oshiomhole himself has kept mum and literally retreated into his shell after amending fences with his warring Lords in the National Working Committee(NEC) of the party by incorporating the suspended members.

However, the staunch supporters of Oshiomhole, the former Edo State Governor and Labour president are not mincing words that their principal would rather die than endorsing incumbent Governor of Edo, Godwin Obaseki.

They argued that it would take needle to pass through the eye of a Carmel than Oshiomhole accepting to support Governor Obaseki's bid for second tenure.

"Governor Obaseki's bid for second tenure, count Oshiomhole out, he will never be part of it", one of them fumed.

"Oshiomhole I know is a man of his words, he will prefer to die than supporting the man who humiliated him and his followers", another chorused.

"If not God, Oshiomhole would have been out. Is Obaseki the kind of godson you want to have", another APC stalwart asked rhetorically.

APC will soon commence the process leading to primaries for it's single ticket and candidate after the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) fixed the election for September 19 this year.

Is there anyone stopping him from dying

if by Gods grace PDP succeed in taking over Edo state, which Iam sure they will win..the APC will head to supreme court and make mockery of them. I will be watching this movie. God put more confusion in their camp Amen

Oshiomole said worse things about Yahaya Bello. He said APC will lose Kogi state if they fielded somebody like yahaya Bello, that a governor like yahaya Bello who doesn't pay workers' salaries should not be re-elected but at the end, he was on the campaign train of yahaya bello, he raised his hands severally and poured eulogies on him despite yahaya Bello's apparent failure. Politics on paper is different from politics in reality. Let's watch and see.

I really pray he dies in it then. See, I am not a fan of Obaseki, but if you are one of those that still support Oshiomola God father figure, then you really need to check ur brain up.

You are not opposing someone based on his abysmal performance but based on non loyalty.

This nonsense is why Africa and the whole black race is hardly moving forward. Look at Lagos state, can you compare Ambode to Sanwo Olu?

betrayer? What is politics? Is politics in Nigeria not denominated by self-interests? We all know that betrayal and self-interests have unpredictable relationship, when a politician's interests are not met, he is bound to take sides with any side where his interests will be met. Oshiomole has done it to others severally, he isn't a saint and as a politician, he should know this.
