So sad. I can imagine the level of damages the crash would hv done to their bodies. Over speeding usually happens when niggas are behind the wheel, u see the other niggas urging the driver to overtake and show his driving prowess. I always caution my self when driving even always cautioning d driver whn in public transport. I fear accident

The striker was involved in the crash on Sunday on his way to Lagos from Enugu following the suspension of the Nigeria Professional Football League due to the coronavirus pandemic.

George was with two other teammates when their vehicle ran into a stationary heavy-duty truck along Onitsha-Agbor-Benin road.

On hearing the news, Rangers general manager, Davidson Owumi, was quoted saying, “We just heard of this disturbing news,” We call for prayers in this hour of pains.”

IgbereTV learnt that George had been suffering a waist injury for the past three weeks and was advised not to drive.

I have also avoided this kind of accident with a parked Dangote trailer.

Perhaps, he was trying to overtake and the events happened, he needed a left hand swerve maybe to avoid the moving vehicle in his front.

Split Second happenings and that's it.

I'm very familiar with the road, which is relatively smooth stretch with few bends. So I belive if fully alert, he probably should have sighted the stationary trailer from far off and as such make the necessary evasive moves.

Looking at the impact again, once can deduce the driver almost certainly did not see the trailer before it was too late

Had similar experience three weeks ago. Was not speeding initially but then calculated I could pass by one trailer on my left with the space between it and the slow trailer moving like a snail in my front (still far away tho), so I moved up to around 80-90kn/h. But out of the blue that trailer increased speed and the gap became too short, so i had to slow down. But that slow truck on my lane was almost not moving at all, so my acceleration brought me closer even further. But for the grace of God which made the trailer I wanted to overtake move very fast, I would have slammed the car straight thru d snaily trailer. What happened in split-second was that I swerved sharply at the last second to the small space that finally became available speedy trailer and brakes did a good job too (but was could not have stopped the collision), plus no car coming behind on both lanes. I thank God oo for mercy and gift of life. It was a precious miracle that day. I dey play the video for my head.

Safety belongs to God. Most probably they were driving in the night. Nigerian roads do not have street lights, speed limits and there is danger everywhere. Think about those too.
