Beware of the Day when it will be too late to amend and don’t be among the Munafiqun (hypocrites) who deceived himself that Allah is not aware of what you conceal, for Allah knows all that the heart conceal. Allah (SWT) says: “And Allah grants respite to none when his appointed time comes. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do” (Quran 63:11) We heard how Prophets and Messengers were sent to nations before us by Allah to give glad tidings to the righteous and warning to the rebellious. So many nations were punished right from this world before even their death for their disobedience. As believers why then do we ignore those signs? v Imaging a sister wearing tight trousers, short top rolls and a veil over her face then walks around in public and calls herself a hijabi. v Imaging she walks around half naked in public as a sane and when asked about it she says “Faith is in the heart”. No… my sister faith is in practice also. It’s scaring how some of the believers don’t hesitate to sin and deceive themselves that Allah is Most Merciful forgetting that is also severe in His punishment. Allah says: “The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the All-Knower. The Forgiver of sin, the Acceptor of repentance, the Severe in punishment….” (Quran 40:2&3) It’s scary when you see a sister in full hijab and in the next hour she is committing evil with the hijab that represent modesty, decency, humbleness, humility and righteousness. Another scaring issue of concern is LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) which is among the major sins that caused the whole nation to be destroyed before us for such devilish act when they disobeyed Prophet Lut (AS) who was sent to them by Allah as a warner against it. Concerning this Allah says: “Verily, We sent against them a violent storm of stones (which destroyed them all), except the family of Lut (Lot), them We saved in the last hour of the night” (Quran 54:34) Those that read the Scriptures are aware of it but choose to follow the sinful path. The bad friend tells you that it’s okay and that you are created like that, then you go ahead and believe them. Allah says: “And (remember) Lut (Lot), when he said to his people: ‘Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Alameen (mankind and jinn)? (Quran 7:80) Undoubtedly falling into such sin and transgressing the sacred limits of Allah are among the causes of the punishments that befall people. Punishment comes by the will of Allah because of sin and affects a person in his religious commitment or in his spiritual or physical well-being. These punishments may come even in this world, in the grave and in the Hereafter. In conclusion, the effects of sin are many more than a person can grasp and the effects of obedience are many more than a person can comprehend. The best of this world and the Hereafter are to be found in obeying Allah and the worst of this world and the Hereafter are all to be found in disobeying Allah.
