Coronavirus: Atiku Asks FG To Pay N10,000 To Each Household, As He Donates N50M by Kkingsley10: 8:16am On Mar 26, 2020
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has asked the Federal Government to pay each household in ten thousand naira (N10,000) as a supplement for foodstuff within the period in which many are confined to their homes.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made this call on Wednesday when he donated N50million as relief fund to support the Federal Government’s battle against the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Atiku stated that it is incumbent on the Federal and state governments to provide palliatives to the Nigerian people to enable them to survive, even as they abide by these necessary measures put in place for their own safety.

According to the elder statesman, “At an approximate 30 million households or thereabouts, the government should devise modalities to distribute N10,000 as a supplement for foodstuff to each household, among other palliative measures, with no one left behind”.

Atiku, in a press statement he personally signed on Wednesday, said his contribution will help “form part of the stimulus package.”

He praised the Federal and State Governments for taking precautionary measures in containing the spread of the virus within the nation.

You haven't even seen the 10k per household you are complaining. How will each household be identified? No database. What about single unmarried adults? Are they households? What about the unbanked? Without BVN? What modalities will be used for the sharing? It's just impossible to share money publicly in Nigeria.

They never saw today. The money they squandered and bought choice ppties outside Nigeria cant help them nw.

You are telling the masses to stock up when there's no food, light n water.

They can't even use the hospitals they commissioned that's why a ventilator is being moved away.

Is this not time for a revolution? I'm enraged cos the borders they left open was for their abroad relatives to come in but they now came in with it.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has asked the Federal Government to pay each household in ten thousand naira (N10,000) as a supplement for foodstuff within the period in which many are confined to their homes.
Atiku Atiku, nice one!

Just yesterday, the United State Senate approved the payment of $1200 dollars (around 420,000 Naira) to each citizen of America,
(Married couple with 2 kids $3400, that is around 1.2 Million Naira),
($2400 for a couple),
($500 Dollars for every child)
and Billions of dollars for small businesses, all totalling
$2 TRILLIONS DOLLARS that is
(700 TRILLION Naira shocked shocked shocked).
And they don't have to pay it back, more like a grant!
The highest payout in the history of America.
Which will be distributed to every household between now and 2 to 3 weeks.
All based on your tax returns tho'
And they have the database for every qualified citizens, where do we even start from in our darling nation?
No database whatsoever,
Someone can commit a crime in Lagos and run to Sokoto, he may be there for years with no one finding him or her, it's not like that in Trump's country!

The first thing that came to our mind was....
Can this ever happen in our darling nation?
Then the answer we got was that if Barack Obama and Bill Clinton the 2 past presidents before Donald Trump squandered the national treasury of America government, and their former minister of Petroleum ran away from America to London with 22 BILLION DOLLARS and getting another Citizenship of a Caribbean island so that she will have immunity not to return to America soil.
With just jewelries worth #400 MILLION NAIRA recovered so far.
And many other of their politicians were buying houses all over the world, hiding and burying hard currencies (raw cash) in latrines, on farms, in soakaway, in abandoned buildings all over their country!
WICKEDNESS! cool
We wonder where Trump could have fallen back to to pay that huge pay out in the history of America!!
So the answer we got was a resounding NO!
Even as much as we would have loved it to be TRUE!

Truth will always be bitter, but it has to be said.
When a sitting president and vice President could open their own private universities while all the Government universities were on strike,
(Just like Obama and Biden having private universities in America while their universities were on strike due to poor funding)
what insolence could be more than that?
When a number 2 citizen of a country has a company that import the largest number of generators into the country, how will they ever want us to have electricity?

The Foundation has been destroyed, we are not praising this government, ( we gave them just 65% overall so far) but our point that many people misunderstood here is that , IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE, If it continued the way our country was going in 2015, many of you wailing now, would have been eating from the dustbin by now.
Things can only get better if we come together to build a new nation and leave out politics of bitterness in your hearts, even Jona has moved on.

Same Atiku was talking about the economy prior the election, and make it appear as if the heavens were falling upon them.
But the economy, according to pundits, began to slow down in 2012. By 2014, it was poised for recession.
Before the last administration left,
Nigeria was already borrowing to pay salaries,
as confirmed by Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
And that was in spite of trillions earned from oil. By 2016, recession was inevitable. But for how long did it last? Just one year.

The Excess Crude Account was looted dry.
Foreign reserves drawn down.
Federation Account, emptied.
And the economy was set on an irreversible path to recession.
And they say; don't talk about it.
Focus on the present and the future only.
How we miss Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. He would have said: "I go shout o, I go shout plenty o."
If we don't focus on the past, we are then liable to make the same mistakes.
"Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." (George Santayana).

NOW AS #DemMANNA, LET US SET SOME RECORDS STRAIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL.
(We accept criticism from those that voted for the sowores, Felas, Kingsley, Hashim etc, and those that wanted to give their votes for Madam Oby before she stepped down, we love those guys also, we could have voted for them, they have good plans for the country, but the reality is they don't have the platform, Sowore got only 30K votes all over Nigeria!)
We could have voted for anyone of them if they happen to be in the political party opposing the party of thieves and criminals.
That being cleared,
NOW,
If you voted for a thief and respect our own vote also without quoting or attacking us (we respect your political view, we will never quote you),
but if you voted for a thief who wants to come back to continued from where he stopped and you are here castigating/insulting/attacking us daily, (cos you refuse to respect our own view) all your insults to your heads in multiple folds.
You lots may never end well in life!
What insolence!!
Y'all should noticed we never really say anything about other politicians on this forum apart from the Natural and True love we have for the President and his Vice, cos they are good men who we believe and know have the best interests of Nigeria and Nigerians in their hearts,
all the other ones are not really our fans, no matter the party they are , both in APC and PDP.
.
That is why we are never a card carrying member of any political party!
Our love for those 2 guys mentioned above is genuine, cos we love our country.

Kindly respect our affiliation for them as we respect your own also.
And lastly about the BMC bs,
If you are here supporting any of these politicians that raped and looted our nation (or collecting any form of money to launder their images both online and offline).....repent NOW before what will befall them come looking for you.

PMB won't be the president by now if our country was going in the right direction in 2015, and you are castigating us for changing the looting and STEALING going on?
We never voted for our now darling Daddy prior 2015, Not at all!
Your hero even told us to our face that STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION?!
Atiku talking about what he or his past government can NEVER do, just to instigate hatred against his conqueror as usual.
You will see his zombies, shouting yes yes, without using their brains to think logically for once, that Atiku, shut up, could you have done this while you were in power?
After y'all stole our money?
The rebuilding of Nigeria is proceeding apace.

Summary, Trump could only have done that because the Previous Government left a good legacy behind.
We can never move forward in life if you don't look back to know where the problem came from.
If we don't focus on the past, we are then liable to make the same mistakes.
"Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." (George Santayana).

Peace out!
We Rise!

Nigerians being the rogues they are, the people charged with sharing the money will create fictitious names and corner at least 40% of the money while the balance will be distributed to only those who have contacts among public officials undecided

If Atiku is sincere about about this cause, he should gather his friends and associates as he did during his campaign fundraising to raise GOOD money and distribute using either his own foundation or a trusted independent NGO to reach target beneficiaries. Afterall, the owner of Alibaba has been going about, doing good without any mischievous drama. Please do the right thing in the right way.

Allow the government to do its own responsibilities after necessary planning. After all, when it was necessary, States of the Federation were given bailouts to help meet their needs.

10k for each household daily or weekly or?
Because i know how much i spend in a day.

What i get to understand in the Corona virus shit is our govt have failed us, they will always fail us, they don't have plans for us. They don't believe in Nigeria, they only have their family and their future in mind.

Nothing plans for the citizens during this Corona period, how will you enjoy sitting at home 24/7 when you don't have power supply? If you want to use gen you know how much you gonna spend on a daily without going to work.

Our president is as good as dead, he doesn't even know what is going on, or what is going to happen next, he can't even pronounce the virus self.

Our senators are even worst, the should just convert the house of assembly to a beer parlor.

Do we have health minister in Nigeria?

Lame! From which reserve... from which budget..

Even without paying anyone Nigeria is automatically broke... why does Atiku think like this.

This is possible... from the Lame angle. But not economically advisable.

So much for political point lol

It is just so disturbing that Nigeria Government and leaders lack sense.

Before now.. govt was supposed to work with companies making sure that their items, manufactures are being subsidised in other to reach the lowest Nigerian...

But we are never prepared for anything... all we watchout for is the enemity of our Neighbours friends and family.

However we were suppose to be amorously united. But no we are not!
