am at work now in rivers state but its in delta state were my family lives but i assure u it very reliable with no maintenance. Although the bearing of the wind turbine sometimes get bad but my has not. But i can assure u its second to none. I stay sometimes two to three months without running my gen and when i do it's not up to one hour bc my batteries are always charge and i dont let it drop less than 50volts so it can last longer. When i get back i promise to send it. But if u want more u can call me on

Please I'll like to ask if my 3300 watts generator can charge a 3.5kva inverter. I was told that for an inverter to be charged then the generator needs to be times 2 of the inverter in terms of kva, I don't know how true that is and I intend getting a 3.5kva inverter because of my AC... Kindly advise please

Someone please answer

You don't have to do that, I use 1.5hp GenPal when I run it on L1 it peaks at 600w and that happens gradually, no x2 surge involved. My inverter is rated 2.4kw

so are you saying my 2.3kva inverter will carry the AC?

Please what is the rating of 2.3kva in watts

Yes it should carry it but you may want to get 1hp instead of 1.5hp just to be on safe side since you have other load. As to the power rating, it all depends on your inverter and should be written on it. Normally a 2.3kva should not be less than 1.8kw

My Inverter is a Sukam pure sine wave. Are they any good ? Because I’m thinking of getting Luminous or Prag 2.5kva

I’ll check thanks

It's just the settings on the thermocool inverter AC. L1 is the lowest speed and L3 is the highest.

Nope it's not always equivalent. My 3kva felicity is rated 2.4kw. My 3kva MPP GK is rated 3kw

Mine does both without stress, though mine is served by solar as well

Seriously. Here it can only power the 1.5hp pumping machine for 3min and the 2hp ac will kill it instantly
I use solar to charge it too
But it has been over two years now

Okay we have different load, mine is 1.5hp AC and pumping machine is 1hp. It powers as long as my solar/battery can provide the juice required.

my inverter is a 24V 2.3kva microtek inverter

Recently installed this week with 2 batteries 12V each

But I wanna add 2 more batteries for more backup time.

Can four batteries work on it, because each battery is 12V and times four is 48V

Microtek 2.3kva inverter is awesome. I will advice you use it with a 200ah battery (at least 4 batteries).

You won't regret it. From experience I was using a 2.5kva mercury modified wave inverter before.
Mercury inverter is good if you want cheap modified inverter, I had to add a super charger to charge it faster.

But microtek is a better because it is pure sine wave, it doesn't spoil if there is a power surge unlike mercury. It charges faster too. Most people aren't aware because of the brand name.
