Tanzania has less than 20 cases of Covid 1-9 up till date and Churches are still wide open. The president advised citizens to go to Church more especially during this period , so why are atheist especially holding the Church responsible for spread when countries that keep borders open are the ones experiencing a high spread of the virus and not those who keep Churches open?

What’s the population of Tanzania?

Tanzania with a population of 58Million people having 20 Covid19 cases and Nigeria with over 200Million mad people having just 50 shows we’re doing well than them by closing our religious houses.

Wrong. Tanzania generates a large source of income from tourism, this means that were more foreign visitors in Tanzania than Nigeria.

More foreign visitors in Tanzania than Nigeria??
You must be joking. Sometimes, leave Ogbomoso and enter night bus to Lagos or Abuja. You don’t expect to see foreigners in Ogbomoso.

Travel and tourism contributed 17.5 percent of Tanzania's gross domestic product in 2016 [3] and employed 11.0 percent of the country's labour force (1,189,300 jobs) in 2013. [4] The sector is growing rapidly, rising from US $1.74 billion in 2004 to US $4.48 billion in 2013. [4] In 2016, 1,284,279 tourists arrived at Tanzania's borders compared to 590,000 in 2005.

Although the above information is dated. It's what I can lay my hands on for now.

Going by the fact that foreigners are obviously in Tanzania as they have cases of the virus, it remains contained despite Churches being left wide open and people are encouraged to attend.

He is trying to do what saudi arabia and vatican city couldn't do.

Trust me. When gbege happen, he has enough money to isolate and feed himself. Na d poor ones i pity.

Church is just a building where u go to pray in congregation
Mosque is just a building where u go to pray in congregation

But ur faith is in you. I can pray 2 God anywhere. Inside bathroom, kitchen. He is everywhere.

No matter d hand washing he claims dey do. Remember that hand washing gels kills bacteria more. This is a virus.
It wont kill it 100%. And no matter how careful u can be in monitoring people during prayers. One person will be careless.

That one person is the problem.

When will the gbege happen, why the delay?

Chronicles 7: 11 -16 After King Solomon had finished the Temple and the palace, successfully completing all his plans for them, the Lord appeared to him at night. He said to him, "I have heard your prayer. and I accept this Temple as the place where sacrifices are to be offered to me. Whenever I hold back the rain or send locusts to eat up crops or send an epidemic on my people, if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sibs and make their land prosperous again. I will watch over this Temple and be ready to hear all the prayers that are offered here because I have chosen it as the place where I will be worshipped forever"

Why Tanzanian churches and mosques are still open
Sammy Awami
BBC News, Dar es Salaam

Tanzanian President John Magufuli has said gatherings in churches and mosques have not been banned yet because that's where "there is true healing."
“Coronavirus is a devil, it can not live in the body of Christ, it will burn instantly. This is a time to build our faith,” the Tanzanian leader, who has a PhD in chemistry and is a devout Catholic, said on Sunday.
He spoke on Sunday, during a church service in the capital, Dodoma, where he had joined other faithfuls for worship.
The East African nation has closed all schools, colleges and universities and suspended all sporting events for at least 30 days after the country confirmed its first case of the coronavirus. Public gatherings have also been banned.
The president said:
Mr Magufuli warned that ‘action will be taken’ against people who joke or spread misinformation about the virus, although it is not clear what this would entail.
Tanzania has recorded 12 cases of coronavirus infection, including eight affecting its nationals.

I'm not in your category, when the devil lacks ideas he either keeps quiet or responds with insult, I see you have chosen the later.

The issue is about doing what is right. The virus is usually contracted from persons to persons, so there is nothing wrong closing down churches for a while, why should we complain? Has it not affected the transport sector, weddings, burials and other occasions which government says should be put on hold? As far as I am concerned, every necessary measures should be taken to curb the virus, and defaulting pastors or imams in churches/mosques arrested and persecuted if they default.
