He won't understand how dangerous that place is

Touts are called "Area boys". In Adeniji, they have "Area girls". When our firm wants to discharge diesel, you'll see girls. Girls that will slap you if you talk otherwise, or use razor blade to tear tear your hand grin

Near that 3rd Mainland side, there's a bridge that leads you to Carter bridge. Under it is a field. They call it "Argentina". They usually play ball there, and all manner of rape, drugs, and all types of stoners are found there.

People have been attacked on that bridge and thrown into the water....No jokes

Third mainland bridge no be better place

When I drive past Adeniji, I always have this smile on my face. Those memories bro grin

One night years ago...

Time was like 11.30 at night, living at Dolphin Estate then. I took a car from oworo going to obalende, I tell driver 50 Naira o, I didn't hear a response. We were 2 in the car, the other person was in front.
After Yaba turnoff, driver asked for money and I handed him 50 bucks, oga say na 100, we drag am o, he said he told me when I entered. We sha no gree, I do agidi come down at adeniji.
I stood there for like 10 mins, no bus stopped, na so I begin leg am.
Approaching Olowu, na so I see this human form covered in white coming from afar. Me nightcrawler of life, I no shake, got closer, figured it was a woman... Next thing she goes bang in the middle of the road and continues walking facing the few oncoming vehicles, mama no move, na so the cars de swerve to avoid her...

As soon as I passed her I ran like the devil was chasing me... Telling myself, God no go let me see bad thing... Stopped when I got to running when I got to sura... Looked back and she was calmly walking back to the side of the road.

You'll see different calabashes put there. Ritual nonsense dey inside.

At night is too far. My tyre bursted july 2017 when i started uber newly. I tried to parked to fix it close to the RRS thinkin it was a safe place .
Brethren, no place is safe on that third mainland bridge especially that adeniji adele.
In a few seconds, 2 guys appeared claiming he wanted to assist me, i turned them dwn.
Seconds later, they were up to 5. Hahaaàà
The akoka babe i picked has central locked herself in d car. Good.
We started dragging it. Thank God for the area name i called in ebute meta.( he is dead now) thru a fake phone conversation i was making that saved me that morning.(11.45am).
RRS were just lookin at us.
I had to settle dem with N700. Infact , to God be the glory. They changed the tyre for me all because they thought i was on real phone call with the area father they know.
That third mainland bridge is a danger zone both at night and day.
Izzou iz very right

Same thing happened to me last November. I guess those touts deliberately put big nails or whatever. I was with my relative and her kid when two guys appeared from a torn portion of those nets. They seized my jack, took off my C caution. All these while we were just a stone throw from iyana oworo. Other vehicles were speeding past despite the glaring scene of robbery and extortion. Before I knew what was happening, three other guys came and started walking away with my jack and wheel spanner. Nobody told me to beg. We finally negotiated 1500 which was all the money in my wallet.

Am 90% sure that those randy couple the dude dropped '500m' to Iyana oworo were robbed.

Me and my guy ordered for a bolt ride from ijora to costain, because of the traffic the driver arrived late.
He was just angry shouting at us that his fuel have finished because of the traffic bla bla, we were like guy calm down it's not our fault naa.

He started trip but didn't turn on the AC, we begged him he to put on the AC that the heat and smoke is too much.
He said he doesn't have fuel again unless we are ready to push car that we are not even going far and we disturbing him for AC, at this point I had to change am for am ooo.
Dude even hanged his phone and I was trying let him know the implications (like somebody taking the phone since there is traffic and his windows are down) he said he have been hanging it like that since and nothing have happened, I kuku keep quite.
His map was on but this olodo driver couldn't read the map I was the one that was directing and teaching him how to use the map that was when he now calm down, I even showed him how to know the destination while accepting request when he got another request while still on our trip.
According to him he accepts and completes all requests, for this kyn Lagos? Na waoo.
Why won't he misbehave and fight riders?

I later advised him to pack when their is traffic that it doesn't worth it or he selects the rides he will go for, he thanked me very well at the end.

I know the driver is here but I won't mention his name, all these AC consumes fuel drivers.
grin

Lol. when did this happen?

If I was still driving, I won’t turn AC on for any rider. LASG travel advisory during this corona period and Uber self care says windows should be open at all times.
Even BRTs are not using ACs right now.

Stay woke guys.

Ok guys, enough of this BAD BLOOD running through this thread at the moment. Let's make it more fun especially as most of us are staying at home.

Let's go back memory lane...

1. When was your FIRST (DRIVING/RIDING) TRIP on UBER/BOLT?

2. What was the experience like?

Ok, so let me start with mine...

FIRST RIDING EXPERIENCE
It was on my court wedding day in 2018. I didn't have a car. I was supposed to use one of my friends car to convey my wife and some few friends to IKOYI REGISTRY. The car 'miraculously' refused to start that day and we were stranded. I had to rush out to the express to get a taxi to convey us. Got to GIG and saw some taxis there. Dude charged 8K, priced to 6K (without AC o).

My ignorant self hadn't heard or understood how UBER/BOLT worked!

After the ceremony, we were outside the registry and my confused self was thinking about how we would trek from the registry to the park to get a bus to Ajah.

A voice from someone just said, 'Why don't you get an UBER?'

In my mind, worst case scenario, UBER price shouldn't be more than 10K from the registry to Ajah. I quickly downloaded the app and requested the ride.

The guy came and I asked him, "Please how much would you charge?" (I definitely didn't notice the estimate)

The guy smiled and told me that it was after the trip that the price would be determined.

In my mind, God abeg o... angry

The trip started and it was a very smooth ride. No traffic, AC chilling, friendly driver...

I enjoyed the ride, but all through I thought about the money in my pocket.

"GOD please, this should not be more than 10K".

The trip ended, and guess what?

The price was N2,500!!

I was so happy that day. I was like so I could be this comfortable in a taxi at a reasonable rate??

That was the first of so many rides later till I got my car...
