According to The Nation, the leader of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu announced a donation of N50 million to help combat the potential spread of coronavirus pandemic in Biafra land.

Kanu made this announcement on Friday in an audio broadcast made available to the Nation, where he said that they never saw it coming and are committing an initial N50 million to help equip the hospitals in Biafra land in a view to help fight the spread of the virus.
