A Bomblike Sound In Ondo State Or Probably Akure Around 1 Am by Dollabommie(op):
I slept early today , only to wake up due to a very scary sound that I don't even understand. I had to go check twitter.. and I realised I wasn't the only one that heard the sound. Only God knows what is going on.

Seriously man, even during rain they run and hide, until the rain stops before you can see a taxi to go home.

Once thunder strikes you see them speaking in their language as if they are saying things, just ordinary thunder.

Something wey men dey enter rain for night those years dey go pluck mango. Thunder strike we stand there, no man move to anywhere.

Re: A Bomblike Sound In Ondo State Or Probably Akure Around 1 Am by Jakumo(m): 6:25am On Mar 28, 2020
There are several possible explanations for a loud report of that nature.

1. Nigeria, or a foreign nation, flew a high performance supersonic aircraft in the area, breaking the sound barrier, which triggers a loud "sonic boom".

2. Illegal miners in the area, may have deployed explosives to shift soil fast, and thus access the precious stones they were exploiting at night.

3. Bank robbers may have blown up a nearby bank vault, as a prelude to the cash reallocation exercise that they may have planned for that night.

4. A petroleum pipeline in the vicinity may have been punctured intentionally or otherwise, resulting in a leakage of petrol or pressurized gas that ignited explosively.
