You be newbie that's why, I have experienced it severally and it goes back to normal after a few days no need to format just observe certain rituals when you update your firmware and you will be fine.

Don't give people advice that will come back to hunt you when people see phone has been destroyed while attempting this. Except if you get about $50 to sort for authorised MIUI account per victim

Never knew they stopped the rollback stuff. I used to revert back then. Someone said they stopped this at redmi note 5. I guess I stopped following Xiaomi for a while until Note 8.

I'm considering downgrading to 11.0.3 via fastboot rom.
Download the rom from miui download page and flash it manually via the updater app.

You wrote sometimes ago, if one's present rom has no issue whatsoever and if the changelog of a pending update has no resolved related issues to one's rom, there's no need updating. I have been on 11.0.3, my battery is a monster and no issues at all. Though my security patch is still reading Nov, I'm only waiting for the 2nd update of Android 10 before I update.

Yes but sometimes they don't mention everything in the changelog.
