Flashing A Custom kernel will easily solve the issue, that is if you have unlocked bootloader and have a custom recovery installed... If not na to flex the Android system sucking dey go till a new OTA drops for you , and hope that solves it

nothing yet. They waited to start sales of Redmi Note 9 Pro in India before launching globally as Redmi Note 9s. Unfortunately, the Pro Max sales in India was postponed.

So we don't even know for sure if there would be a global version.

After downloading, I chose "system" tab as the only place for the change to be effected (I didnt want my wallpaper changed), then I rebooted the phone. My font got altered though, and I had to reapply that one too. I used a 3rd party launcher too though

I have learnt a lot on this thread but I think there's one I'll like to apply to myself since I Don join the redmi gang. Here it goes: I WON'T UPDATE MY DEVICE FROM WHAT COMES OUT OF THE BOX. Seems to be the most stable version without much issues.
