This is possibly another terrorist attack because the depth of the explosion site is more than a truck size that police claimed it to be. While the Abúlé Ado explosion remained a mystery as govt could not ascertain the course.

When I was young, living in Ogoja cross river state, some few minutes past six after a light rain shower something unimaginable came from the sky like a huge ball of red light creating a thunder like noise in the sky and landed in an open grassland creating partial darkness by creating half current to electricity supply throughout the small town of Igoli. The impact was huge and threatening and it happened few meters away from our house.

The following day, I went to the location to ascertain what hit the town only to discover a football shaped ball of steel buried in a meter hole sweeping the entire area with shockwaves. I was able to hull it out of the hole but too heavy, I just dropped it there and went away.

The little town believe it was a lightning strike but only me saw what landed cos it happened at close proximity with me witnessing first hand.

Now my people, who can tell what it is. A smooth ball of steel?

This explosion looks similar to the one at Abule Ado in Lagos. I suspect it's the same group that are carrying out these bomb attacks. I suspect the Miyetti Allah. The Nigeria Police is just trying to cover up in order to avoid angry revenge attacks on innocent Northerners resident in the Southwest.

I know a truckbomb will create a crater too. I'm even familiar with this image you posted. However, there'll have to be a ton load of explosives on such a truck to form a crater that deep and wide. And there'll still be fire.

All these analysis is meaningless. You are talking about high velocity/low velocity. What do you think dynamites meant for blasting hard rocks will do? these things aren't toys.
Dynamites are very high explosives that's why they are widely used in mining.

The explosion caused by one stick of dynamite is really massive. Imagine what happens when a truck loaded with hundreds of sticks catches fire.

There were no casualties because the police EOD team escorting the shipment said that when they noticed smoke from the engine of the truck, they had to move it as far as possible from where there are houses before clearing by the road.

They then tried to stop the smoke but we're unsuccessful as a small fire started coming out of the engine.

At this point, the EOD police advised that they move very far away from the truck with the rest of the vehicles knowing fully well it would explode.

This account was given by the Ondo State Police Commissioner and it makes sense.

The fragments of the blown up truck must have landed miles away from the explosion site so you cannot find a wrecked lying there.

Well judging from the size of the crater and the extensive damage caused to buildings, which were some considerable distance away, I believe that there must have been a huge shock wave generated by the explosion.
I wonder who would bear the responsibility for the damages and how soon the hapless people affected would be given some respite.
PS.. the looming lockdown of the nation wont help matters either.
