How do I make someone more diligent in praying.

I think due to his upbringing, job, surroundings and friends he found himself, it is a bit difficult for him to pray the 5 daily prayers. He wakes up for Tahajud and prays Jumah but the 5 daily prayers seems difficult to catch up with.

The progress isn't too visible and improving.

How do I make him better.

P.S: Parents, please try and teach your children the benefits and how important Solat is from their young age.

Well, I think you should reiterate to her that death is inevitable and there is another life after death where she is going to be questioned about her deen.

Also, inform her politely about the reward of worshipping Allah in this world which is Paradise and punishment for doing otherwise which is hell.

Also, tell her if she dies without praying, Muslims will not pray on her. She will just be buried like that.

All these should be done politely. Assist her with prayers too. May Allah grant her and us better understanding. Ameen.

Use the method of the prophet, which is scare a bit and give glad tidings a bit.

I mean, tell him the danger of someone who dies not being a Muslim – putting in mind that the one who totally leaves solaah is not a Muslim – and tell him glad tidings of the one who dies as a Muslim.

I dont think recitation without understanding will help. Let the person start by studying the life of the prophet, his wars and conquest, his relationship with his wives. By the time he/she has finished, he will know where his/her faith stands. My two cents.

The person can skip prayer all they want as long as they kiss they Yemeni corner or say "SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi'- 100 times during a day

The best way is to make the person your best Friend, let the person believe in you, trust you and love irrespective of gender, remember the prophet emphasis on love for brotherhood. With that you can introduce the person to religion bit by bit. Don't force it, they'll pray.
If the person is your spouse, remember to know his stand if not brothers use this to take advantage of sister

He went to work to bring food in your table hence skipping some prayers, you are complaining

What if he pray that head smashing prayers five times a day due to lack of job?
You will still open ya mouth to complain.

Instead of all this why not show the person how to reciprocate the love Almighty Allah has bestowed upon him/her..He does not need your fear or chastity all what God requested of you is total submission (Islam) if you love Him, you'll look for Him at every given opportunity e.g Salat.
