Melezenawii:The article is not misleading, however needs update. 1. Number of casesThe article isn't about these stats 5. Government of Lagos efforts on stimulus packages for the PoorLASG stimulus is for 200k citizens, the number is far cry from the 20m Lagos citizens that are affected. 6. Buhari Government Social Investment Programs activatedSIP that has never and cannot capture 5m of Nigeria's 200m population? The other 195m should die of hunger? 7. Free movement of foods and essential items and ability for those to openWhere will money to make purchase come from when people are out of work? 8. COVID Loan by CBNloan to who exactly? 9. Directive of the President for Ministers to cater for the needs of the poorest of states affectedThis is mere audio. The law is clear... FEED PEOPLE UNDER LOCKDOWN not audio directive. 10. Needs of other states to take initiatives like LagosLagos state is yet to do ANYTHING to ensure those locked at home are fed. Stop making excuse for ineptitude of government |

Melezenawii:there is no contradiction. Making announcement to feed 200k people out of 20 million is as good as doing NOTHING. 200K of 20m is meagre 1% of the segment. Yimu! As for the number 8 (CBN loan), the policy is audio and conditional and can't even take care of the population of Nigerians on lockdown. Note: The law stipulates that ALL those on lockdown must be fed. It didn't say 1% should be given peanut stimulus package nor given loan. |

TonyeBarcanista:But you said earlier , that the loan doesn't exist. What I am trying to tell you , that your article is misleading by not mentioning the efforts been made by government at all levels. But for calling efforts of governments at all levels audio clearly brought out the intention of your article to mislead and misrepresent facts |

Melezenawii:My brother, anybody can design infographics. The fact is that government is failing in their duty to feed those affected daily as provided by the law. I don't even see how your argument invalidate this fact! I am a resident of Abuja, I have been under lockdown but I have not been fed in line with the provisions of the law. DO YOU KNOW ANYONE THAT HAS BEEN FED? |

Melezenawii:I see that you came here to argue politics rather than calling out government to do what is necessary for them. Only in this country will you fins citizen defending ineptitude of government simply for useless reasons. Indeed, some of you deserve the kind of government you get... AT ALL LEVELS |

Melezenawii:Oga, that loan is for people whose business will be affected by Covid 19. Eligibility requirements include the need to provide evidence of your prior sound transactions and current dwindling transactions. Ultimately, you are to repay within a year at an interest rate of 5% P. A. with a few months moratorium. How many businesses ordinarily want such loan before Covid 19? Besides, it is not a gift or grant, it is a loan to pay back. How does that impact or cushion the effect of Covid 19 in the lives of ordinary Nigerians trapped in FCT, Lagos and Ogun? |

Melezenawii:What he meant by "audio" is simply that the efforts have not been realized. The projects were simply announced but they are yet to be implemented. However, the lockdown is already in effect. How many businesses have got the CBN Covid 19 loan? |

Melezenawii:is it not more sensible to the plight of Nigerians in this restive period to pay money into the valid BVN account of each citizen to give succour both to the poor n average families out there.you forgot there are those on daily incomes in Nigeria, how do u expect them to survive the stay at home epidermic. Provide a more better palliative for the masses. This is common reasoning |
