Residents around Ogo-Oluwa in Osun State were thrown into shock after a woman jumps into Osun River in Osogbo.

According to an eyewitness, Abdul-Wasiu Ismail, who spoke with Global Times correspondent in Osogbo, the woman, when asked, said her reason for jumping into the river is as a result of hunger as the state goes on total lockdown.

She, however, was rescued by some good samaritans in the area.

Ismail also disclosed to Global Times that she also said that she have three children whom she said she could not cater for because she is financially handicapped.

She revealed that her husband stays in Lagos adding that they have separated about thirteen years ago.

Present at the scene of the incident were the chairperson of Osogbo West Osogbo Local Council Development Area, Alhaja Temilade and the state Special Adviser on Public Health, Mr Siji Olamiju.

It was learnt that she has been taken to the hospital for treatment.

Global Times recall that The state governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, had on Sunday announced that the state would go on total lockdown after two cases of coronavirus were reported in the state.

Oyetola reaffirmed the commitment to shut down all the land boundaries effective from midnight, Sunday, March 29, with the total lockdown of the state from midnight, Tuesday, March 31.

Commercial motor parks were equally locked in Osogbo.

Banks and other business outlets were closed for business as residents stayed at home, while only those on essential services and pharmaceutical outlets were seen carrying out their operations.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday, April 1, confirmed nine new infections in Osun, bringing total number in the state to 14.

Instead of giving the hungry woman food, the useless people still ask her to sit on the floor while they're busy taking her photo.

Our useless and wicked leaders are saying sit at home, stay at home without providing any relief material. You people copied the whites order of sitting at home without providing for we the citizens what their leaders provided for them. Just yesterday here, someone updated us about 350 Euros stay at home bonus from the good government of Republic of Ireland.

You asked us to sit home with nothing to eat.

You people continue to fool yourself with audio donations you're making. What's the essence of the money when hunger is killing your people.

Bunch of dry heads. Mtchew

shocked

Some people are really passing through difficulties in life. There is hunger everywhere, but that doesn't justify the means that she did that out of hunger.

It could be she is depressed.

The FG together with the state governors are doing this lock down for the benefit of us.

Shut down -- hunger

No shut down--- more death as a result of COVID-19

The same people who say the governments are looking for a way to reduce population, if it's really true, then they wouldn't be a shut down.

I wonder how hunger would make one wanna commit suicide. shocked

These are the ones we hear about !

There are various Unimaginable, Wierd and Painful Experiences People are going through all over the World..

If Things are this way now, Then Imagine how it's gonna be After JESUS CHRIST Appears in the Skies all over the World and takes His Children away!

The Bible Chronicles that there shall be Great Tribulations Such as Never has been...

The Bible Chronicles that people would wish to die but Death will not come. Even if you jump into the sea, the sea would reject you.

The Bible Chronicles that you will not be able to buy or Sell Except you Take the Mark of the Beast(666)

Remember, Once you Accept the Mark, you are Doomed Forever and Ever!

Sisters/ Brothers, We have an Opportunity to Ensure we are not Here at that time.. Let's Make Use of that Opportunity!

Accept JESUS CHRIST TODAY!

Tomorrow May be late..

See our Signature to Take that Decision

Really? A look back into the original post shows it's been modified with more details. It would be nice you ask why I wrote what I did than conclude hastily.

When the Vanity Crew dey talk, we dey always insult them and calling them people with poverty mentality.

Here we are now;
cars wasting away
PJs lying around
Designer designer
Perfumes

At the end of the day, na only roof over your head, garri, water and clean air be koko. Both the rich and poor just gather inside house dey hide.

Abeg this world na vanity, if you think otherwise, enter your PJ and designer and go flex for Italy or Madrid.
