Ijawwomaninoyo:
They all maķe an agreement on how much to sell. In the 70s the government burnt down expensive goods and Fela sang that they should have auctioned them cheap.
It is not that they bought the things expensive but just exploiting.
If transport fares double, you might decide to trek, you can find alternative for other things but food.
People are asked to stay indoors, the money you are supposed to use to store 2 buckets can only buy one. Why are they wicked, that's the cheapest food a common man can stock.
It caused a bloodshed in Ibadan years ago, the Hausas fell cheated and brought the goods directly to the Bodija market to sell. The traders didn't like the cheap prices and launched an attack. Hausas vs Yorubas, it was blood shedding before the traders agreed to start selling at the normal price. Why?
Apply this same destruction of goods to banks, filling stations and IKDC when they raise prices of services.

Or is it because this is a poor woman who cannot fight back?

You don't know anything about business.
This is rubbish business! Any money made from people's tears is blood money! Exploitation is bad, ironically we all complain of hardship but you are here supporting people exploiting.

Talk is cheap, especially negative talk. Can you in all honesty compete with that woman by setting up a shop near here and sell garri cheaper than her so you can make more sales and more profit than her?

Did the bank increase anything due to the lockdown? Did the price of recharge cards increase? Did school owners ask any child to pay more? All Petrol stations around me sells for N125. Why food when they even know there's no money.
Yesterday, I bought some rice from someone, I was still in the market and decided to buy more, within 15 minutes, she has added N100 already when she discovered the other sellers' prices. Before 30 minutes, they have all changed prices!
Today, another N50, why?
Banks and electric distributors give notice, not take advantage of situations.
Go into history, in the 70s the government took it upon themselves to search for such people selling anything expensive, not even in critical period, seize their goods and burnt them to ashes.

They are old stocks, they all hoarded and are just exploiting. What if recharge cards now sells for N150? Text messages N10, Petrol N200 etc, what will be left for people to spend?
If she knows she is clean, she should go to the Police Station.

Okay, let me understand you, you are askung the woman to wait it's convenient for you before they increase prices? grin

I even thought you know anything about business.

Listen. Goods add from where the woman buy daily, and the woman follows suit to hang on in business, if not, she will start very after selling cheap to you. You are being selfish by considering only yourself and not thinking of whether the woman can afford to replenish her stock tomorrow.

That is gross selfishness on your part.

How can you, who came into the market yesterday conclude and declare her goods old stock? Who gave you such supernatural powers to know stocks that are old?

The woman I buy from, sell in front of her warehouse which is full to the brim.
During the week N240, Saturday N300. They might have increased it again and she is increasing what is in her store like most of them do.
Within 30 minutes, you will see the changes in prices when they know what others are doing. They went to stock in less than 30 minutes or what?
