No, there are almost none. I watch Governor of New York yesterday virtually pleading the local companies need to switch to production of items like facemasks, healthcare aprons, and few other essential items. He even brought those items on air saying "these are not complex items to produce; and any company that modified its production system to make those items will be financially covered by the govt".

Many are still going to work. If there are local companies making such, they will be regarded as essential staff and will always go to work irrespective of the lockdown just like health workers. China dominate production of these items now.

Aba made cant be as hygienic as what chinese produce. It's not just face mask you're seeing but sterile face masks. Most of the factories in china are owned by Americans including the world leading mask manufacturer, 3M. Maybe they would start thinking of moving some of their factories home after covid-19. America allowed china to take over because of their hatred and discrimination against Africa. Had they come to africa, our continent would have since developed. Chinese are more tricky than Africans. They thought they could take advantage of chinese population to achieve cheap labour and high production during the industrial revolution so they mixed most of their factories to china. China used to be stark illiterates but now, they dictate the world economy with their industrialisation. They were able to catch up fast.
