it's uncharitable to say enugu don't have water.
yes enugu is located in a hill which is mostly underlain by a thick enugu shale which form a cap rock to the aquifer below.
It's hard to dug out water in enugu as a result of shale deposit .
secondly what happened was not subsidence factor but land sliding due to heavy rain fall.
due to friable nature of the soil along the water ways it was very easy for the water to wash the soil .
there is nothing like depletion of aquifer in enugu.
u shld have known the stratigraphy of enugu bfre drawing ur conclusion.

Where does the water that I've been fetching from the well come from?

Ugwuanyi shld expand Enugu more, by building more major Roads & maintaining the existing one, to Open the city, the one Sullivan built is about being fully utilized, any new biz is struggling to get a little unavailable space, from the existing road network, That's how to increase IGR rather than being sentimental.

You are right. Enugu is having a superb property boom at the moment. The type of buildings springing up in Enugu city at the moment is surprising. If I tell people that this is a section of Umuchigbo in Abakpa, most people will not believe how fast the area is developing.

You people should stop disturbing igbos,. Enugu belongs to Enugu state people and not igbos. Igbo is a general name for everyone in SE.

Start calling on your Enugu state people to come buy land and not igbos. Charity should begin at home.

Every igbo man has a state, and their focus is on their state.

Thank you my brother. I thought I'm the only one that knows this. And the quality of the buildings is amazing. What I pray is for super rich Igbos to start building sky scrappers in Enugu. Let them stop these nonsense attitude of building outside Igbo land and claiming they developed the place.
It is sad that despite all the Igbos investment in Lagos, they cannot even be appointed a commissioner. Not to think of winning a tangible position. Same thing applies to Abuja

No they're not suffering and boreholes work. In some places it's hard to get water while in some it's very easy. The problem is usually "hard water."
