Okay, here goes my BS.

PRE-PREGNANCY

I had always wanted to have 3 kids but my DH prayed for 2. God blessed us with 2 boys and oga said , no more. Efforts to convince him otherwise, failed and was causing unnecessary quarrels. By beginning of last year when my last baby was to turn 3 and he wasn't forthcoming, Me sef kukuma bone the matter , adjusted and happily moved on with life.

Early August 2019, I was feeling kinda off so i went to the lab to do Typhoid and Malaria test make I know which drugs to buy. Entered restroom in the lab there to ease myself and from the corner of my eye, saw one old pregnancy strip test inside my purse. Dunno which spirit told me to bring it out and play with it before disposing. Obeyed the spirit and I saw two lines immediately!
People of God, I froze! Chim ooo! How manage? I started racking my brain. How can this be? Started calculating and noted that my period was due in 3 days time. Ok, let's do blood test. Shey na Lab I dey?

Left the restroom and told the lab guys to include pregnancy test. Result came out and I saw pregnancy "positive". Didnt even bother with what Malaria and Typhoid were again.
Snapped both strip and result and sent to DH. Long story short, belle don enter and that was that. Ironically, for someone who had ' fought' for another pikin, I couldn't muster up excitment about the news (God pls forgive me). Meanwhile, DH was ecstatic.

PREGNANCY STORY

MS started in earnest. At 5wks, I was already down to the familiar misery i had previous times. Sick feeling, constant weakness, nausea etc. Ulcer came up ten fold. Gestid, Gaviscon, Polycid, Pepcid, name it, none relieved me. I was miserable. Around 8weeks, I came to the hospital to complain as I was fearing ectopic cos of how horrible I felt. Scan said baby was positioned well but Sonographer asked if i was bleeding and was surprised I said no. Turns out i had small Subchorionic Haematoma(SCH). Like blood clots. I was advised to be careful, no bikes, stay off sex and I tried the much I could to obey.

At 11 weeks, wiped after peeing one day and saw blood while at work. My heart skipped! Rushed to the hospital and was admitted and managed for like 4 days then placed on bed rest for a week . Me wey no dey near hospital till 18 weeks to register for antenatal before became customer. I was required to take weekly duphaston injection till 16 weeks which I did. Bleeding resolved afterwards and SCH eventually disappeared. All was fine. MS left around week 20. I also started having Braxton Hicks contraction as early as 19wks or so.

Given my history of big babies(1st :4.58kg, 2nd: 4.2kg) I was doing all I could to make baby less than 4kg. Avoid carbs, eat veggies, drink Lipton, etc. My prayer point was actually to have a 3.8kg baby. Pregnancy progressed, kept feeling heavier by the day and my waka really changed cos of the pressure down there. At 33wks, scan showed baby at 2.6kg and I became a little depressed. After all my sacrifice and starvation! . Truth is , I knew mine had to do with genetics but it didnt stop me from wishing/trying.
37wks 2days, another scan showed 4.5kg. . At this point, even after considering my previous births, CS was advised. I was not against it but cos I travelled out, the cost implication of that was part of what I considered. Eventually I said "Let your will be done Lord " and mentally prepped myself for Scheduling CS from 39wks as advised.
Met with a Nigerian OBGYN on one of my antenatal visits and she offered to do a membrane sweep at 38wks 4days after noting that I was already dilated to 2cm for past 2 visits. (Note that I had done membrane sweep during my last pregnancy and after 72hrs, I went into Labour so I was working with that in mind). She did it around 11am on April 2nd and I went home.

LABOUR & DELIVERY

Later that day, I was experiencing light contractions but cos of my close friendship with Braxton Hicks all along, I didn't feel it was the main thing. While lying down i suddenly heard a pop sound, stood up immediately and my water poured out. I got myself cleaned up and placed a pad. Before I knew it , I had soaked through 3 pads and contractions really began . They were about 3mins apart. This was like past 4pm. Called the doctors office to let them know my water broke and I was advised to head to the hospital. I first balance chop food first for the work ahead

5:30pm or so: Got to the hospital., I was still able to endure the pain .

6:10pm : Got checked and I was 6cm gone.They strapped the monitors on me to monitor baby and I. I actually hate labouring while lying down so the restriction was not nice for me. They offered me a bouncing ball to aid labour and i started bouncing on it. When contractions hit, I bounce and use deep breathing exercises to pull through. Kept praying to God to open my cervix and pelvis so baby can be delivered with ease and not get stuck as the OBGYN feared cos of the size. I also remembered an excerpt of Beyedew BS "I labour, not for long; I give birth with ease..." and prayed with those words.

7 :20pm : Looked at the time and realised I had been bouncing for over an hour. I was like God abeg do a miracle, I want to give birth before 8pm. Stood up from the ball to pee and all of a sudden I forgot how to breathe through the contractions. The technique literally flew outta the window. I called for the nurse to check me cos the pain was unmanageable and i felt like pooing .i
In my hysteria I knocked off the line they set for IV in case..

7:40pm: Got checked and was 9cm. Nurse said I had a little bit of cervix lip left and I remember same thing happening in my previous pregnancies. I Laid on my left side and lifted up the right leg on the stirrups to get it out of the way. Of course by this time, I was pretty much consumed by the pain and was beginning to push involuntarily. Doctor was called in and the pushing began . Pushed through 3 contractions with all my strength and he was out, crying in ajebo tone . Born exactly 7:54pm . Oh what relief!!!
I was just thanking God.

Miraculously doctor looked through and said there were no tears. I almost wept for joy here. Couldn't believe my ears cos that was part of my fears. Me that was cut horrendously with my first( it even required restitching) and had 2 stitches with my 2nd. It was just God. Baby weighed 4.53kg and they all kept screaming..

At the end of the day God showed himself strong as it was His will that prevailed. We are home now and bonding fine.

Family is complete and I handover boots to all TTC /ATC sisters. The Lord will surprise you greatly.

July mamas. I was lying on my left as usual about to sleep last night, when I realised I started feeling some sensitive kicks different from my usual norm. Then all of a sudden, I felt a sharp kick or turn that sent me flying from the bed and I wondered what the heck was that. I was so scared to go back to bed for sometime and when I eventually did(lying on the left), I started feeling the sensitive kicks again and I was so scared I do not experience that kind of initial kick. I had to turn to the right, and in that way, the kicks slowed down to the usual norm. I slept off.
Waking up in the middle of the night to go pee, I realised the baby was quiet now and tot baby has gone to sleep. Getting back to bed, I quietly went back to the left side. Honestly, it wasn't up to 10 seconds baby started with those kicks again. And I am like, isn't it the left we are supposed to sleep on. Is this baby not comfortable with the left or what. I sharparly turned back to my right side and the baby mellowed once again.

I thought am the only one oo..
Two weeks ago, I rarely free kicks and I became bothered and prayed that I want to feel my baby kicks.
Fast forward last week, the kicks especially at night are out of this world; very strong and sharp. Dont know if I should adjust in prayer again ..lol

Another annoying thing is the rate I use rest room at night; it can be frustrating (sometime 3-5mins apart)

yea, the pee thing too. I tot peeing is for the first and last trimesters. I guess I'll be peeing all thru. This stay home even makes it worse, I pee virtually every 30 minutes.

Cappo, thanks I'm doing just fine, done shopping with bag packed, went for a scan ystday and it showed 1.84kg, doc said baby is supposed to have entered 2kg but it isn't bad though, hope we are on track?

TEAM MAY 2020, APRIL ROLL CALL

Happy New month of April my teamies, May this month be good to us and our household and I pray no plague will come near us. Amen!

How is the lockdown in our area? For me this lockdown has increased my laziness oo My routine is eat, sleep, press phone, eat, sleep. Even body don heavy . It is well

How body and LO? Please don’t allow coro to scare you from your antenatal o, just practice safe distance and always sanitise your hands well. Avoid opening public doors with your hand instead use your leg, elbow or arm.

Last week i landed in my hospital armed with my nose mask, hand gloves and sanitizer. I already plan to go late so they would have done all the singing, dancing and lectures (didn’t expect them to do that again sef considering the situation of things)
On getting there, I was told i dont need to wear gloves as it will pose more danger sef. How When you wear glove, it easily pick up different microbes then you still touch your phone (assuming you need to pick a call) hence transferring microbes to your phone. Or you want to write using a pen, some of the microbe are also transferred to the pen. If you finally throw away the gloves when you are through, you still have the microbes on your phone and pen which will still come back to you. Only doctors can use gloves as such because they discard after each use not wearing one gloves all day long. I just reason the matter and threw the gloves away come face my hand sanitizer.

Shopping nko? I hope we are through with shopping oo, especially with this lockdown. We should start packing our bags in bits now especially those early May mamas. Biko, i no wan hear stories.

We should be in our 35th, 34th, 33rd, 32nd, and 31st weeks now. We're getting there we will finish well with Mum alive, baby alive and Daddy rejoicing with plenty money. Amen.

Good to hear shopping is done and dusted. Baby might just decide to pack in the fats needed this last month. You might not have having a big baby.. Since doctor said its not bad, then relax teamie. It is well

am so depressed. We have been trying for a baby for over a year now and we visited the doctor last month. I was treated for PCOS, raken the drugs Clomid and metormofi.

We had sex back to back last month.I just saw my period today. I feel very terrible and sad. I have been crying my eyes out. I can't even go to the hospital now because of Covid-19. I am

After I removed my implant (family planning), I got ovulation kit to track my ovulation so I can plan for a baby girl,. still at it but wasn't getting a positive result, that how I use the pregnancy strip that was attached to the ovulation kit to check, the I got a slight positive result and boooom!!! my heart skipped, how manage?? I just have no choice than to start praying that this one should be a girl.

Ms mainfected, I was getting slimmer and ulgyier. a lot happened during my pregnancy but God is indeed faithful ( I can't go into details now cos baby might soon wake).

Fast forward to 36 weeks, I started exercising cos I wanted an early baby, my belle was already too big that people taught I would deliver last December. I had contractions from 37weeks but no sign of labor. I did all I could do to induce labor naturally, but no show. so decided to see my doc @31 march to book for an induction date cos I have already made up my mind that I will be induce since my first son came out through that process. On getting there the doc had to give me extra one week to see if I can fall in labor so I was disappointed, I complained to one my friend nurse in that hospital and she advised I started taking bottled soda water and immediately I bought it in her presence. On my way back home, the contraction increased but no sign of labor. so I kept on taking the drink, the followingday being 1st April I did a little cleanup and at around 4pm I had to rest with a bottle of my drink.

The contractions was now unbearable when I woke up but it was late already and hubby was fast asleep. so I decided to endure it since I didn't see any mucus nor any water broke. Around 11:50pm, I couldn't hold back (what of if this is real labor, it better I go to the hospital and sleep over there to be sure than to have emergency) that's what my mind telling me. I woke hubby and we headed to the hospital. on getting to it was labor and I'm 4cm gone. After some hour the real dance of labor started till 5:00am when my sweetheart can to the world praising God with his voice ( you know what I mean). my baby gave my a cut and I was stitched, he was weighing 3.9kg

BA!!!

My cute prince landed on 2nd April weighing 4.53kg via VD. God truly manifested His great plan all through. Mummy is strong, Baby is bubbling and Daddy is feeling like a lottery winner! BS will be sent soon.

Okay, here goes my BS.

PRE-PREGNANCY

I had always wanted to have 3 kids but my DH prayed for 2. God blessed us with 2 boys and oga said , no more. Efforts to convince him otherwise, failed and was causing unnecessary quarrels. By beginning of last year when my last baby was to turn 3 and he wasn't forthcoming, Me sef kukuma bone the matter , adjusted and happily moved on with life.

Early August 2019, I was feeling kinda off so i went to the lab to do Typhoid and Malaria test make I know which drugs to buy. Entered restroom in the lab there to ease myself and from the corner of my eye, saw one old pregnancy strip test inside my purse. Dunno which spirit told me to bring it out and play with it before disposing. Obeyed the spirit and I saw two lines immediately!
People of God, I froze! Chim ooo! How manage? I started racking my brain. How can this be? Started calculating and noted that my period was due in 3 days time. Ok, let's do blood test. Shey na Lab I dey?

Left the restroom and told the lab guys to include pregnancy test. Result came out and I saw pregnancy "positive". Didnt even bother with what Malaria and Typhoid were again.
Snapped both strip and result and sent to DH. Long story short, belle don enter and that was that. Ironically, for someone who had ' fought' for another pikin, I couldn't muster up excitment about the news (God pls forgive me). Meanwhile, DH was ecstatic.

PREGNANCY STORY

MS started in earnest. At 5wks, I was already down to the familiar misery i had previous times. Sick feeling, constant weakness, nausea etc. Ulcer came up ten fold. Gestid, Gaviscon, Polycid, Pepcid, name it, none relieved me. I was miserable. Around 8weeks, I came to the hospital to complain as I was fearing ectopic cos of how horrible I felt. Scan said baby was positioned well but Sonographer asked if i was bleeding and was surprised I said no. Turns out i had small Subchorionic Haematoma(SCH). Like blood clots. I was advised to be careful, no bikes, stay off sex and I tried the much I could to obey.

At 11 weeks, wiped after peeing one day and saw blood while at work. My heart skipped! Rushed to the hospital and was admitted and managed for like 4 days then placed on bed rest for a week . Me wey no dey near hospital till 18 weeks to register for antenatal before became customer. I was required to take weekly duphaston injection till 16 weeks which I did. Bleeding resolved afterwards and SCH eventually disappeared. All was fine. MS left around week 20. I also started having Braxton Hicks contraction as early as 19wks or so.

Given my history of big babies(1st :4.58kg, 2nd: 4.2kg) I was doing all I could to make baby less than 4kg. Avoid carbs, eat veggies, drink Lipton, etc. My prayer point was actually to have a 3.8kg baby. Pregnancy progressed, kept feeling heavier by the day and my waka really changed cos of the pressure down there. At 33wks, scan showed baby at 2.6kg and I became a little depressed. After all my sacrifice and starvation! . Truth is , I knew mine had to do with genetics but it didnt stop me from wishing/trying.
37wks 2days, another scan showed 4.5kg. . At this point, even after considering my previous births, CS was advised. I was not against it but cos I travelled out, the cost implication of that was part of what I considered. Eventually I said "Let your will be done Lord " and mentally prepped myself for Scheduling CS from 39wks as advised.
Met with a Nigerian OBGYN on one of my antenatal visits and she offered to do a membrane sweep at 38wks 4days after noting that I was already dilated to 2cm for past 2 visits. (Note that I had done membrane sweep during my last pregnancy and after 72hrs, I went into Labour so I was working with that in mind). She did it around 11am on April 2nd and I went home.

LABOUR & DELIVERY

Later that day, I was experiencing light contractions but cos of my close friendship with Braxton Hicks all along, I didn't feel it was the main thing. While lying down i suddenly heard a pop sound, stood up immediately and my water poured out. I got myself cleaned up and placed a pad. Before I knew it , I had soaked through 3 pads and contractions really began . They were about 3mins apart. This was like past 4pm. Called the doctors office to let them know my water broke and I was advised to head to the hospital. I first balance chop food first for the work ahead

5:30pm or so: Got to the hospital., I was still able to endure the pain .

6:10pm : Got checked and I was 6cm gone.They strapped the monitors on me to monitor baby and I. I actually hate labouring while lying down so the restriction was not nice for me. They offered me a bouncing ball to aid labour and i started bouncing on it. When contractions hit, I bounce and use deep breathing exercises to pull through. Kept praying to God to open my cervix and pelvis so baby can be delivered with ease and not get stuck as the OBGYN feared cos of the size. I also remembered an excerpt of Beyedew BS "I labour, not for long; I give birth with ease..." and prayed with those words.

7 :20pm : Looked at the time and realised I had been bouncing for over an hour. I was like God abeg do a miracle, I want to give birth before 8pm. Stood up from the ball to pee and all of a sudden I forgot how to breathe through the contractions. The technique literally flew outta the window. I called for the nurse to check me cos the pain was unmanageable and i felt like pooing .i
In my hysteria I knocked off the line they set for IV in case..

7:40pm: Got checked and was 9cm. Nurse said I had a little bit of cervix lip left and I remember same thing happening in my previous pregnancies. I Laid on my left side and lifted up the right leg on the stirrups to get it out of the way. Of course by this time, I was pretty much consumed by the pain and was beginning to push involuntarily. Doctor was called in and the pushing began . Pushed through 3 contractions with all my strength and he was out, crying in ajebo tone . Born exactly 7:54pm . Oh what relief!!!
I was just thanking God.

Miraculously doctor looked through and said there were no tears. I almost wept for joy here. Couldn't believe my ears cos that was part of my fears. Me that was cut horrendously with my first( it even required restitching) and had 2 stitches with my 2nd. It was just God. Baby weighed 4.53kg and they all kept screaming..

At the end of the day God showed himself strong as it was His will that prevailed. We are home now and bonding fine.

Family is complete and I handover boots to all TTC /ATC sisters. The Lord will surprise you greatly.

Good afternoon. How do i increase the supply of breast milk. I want to extract and give to my twins. They no longer want to suck it because milk is not flowing well. Note, i take pap alot but no difference. I will appreciate your comments mamas
