for a man to have gotten this far he probably has these positions filled. His spiritual leader probably fills about 50% of that role.

I think all you can be to a man is yourself. Don't change to please him at your own detriment ( this doesn't apply to toxic traits) and you both decide what you want from each other. And always have the mindset to walk away....when it gets bad
