hi guys, I ordered for a phone on 29th March on Aliexpress. first question, will there be customs charge, if yes, how much and how is payment made pls? second, with this covid, when can I expect the phone pls? thank you
1. NCS charge is by luck. If you're unlucky, you'll get their invoice. Amount is dependent on how they value your item/phone. Payment is dependent on courier (if DHL, you'll pay before it leaves Lagos but if AliExpress Standard Shipping/EMS or any non express courier, you'll defray the attached NCS invoice at your locale, give them receipt before you're given your item).

2. There is no sacrosanct delivery time cuz of this lockdown. Nothing is certain at this time but keep monitoring your item. This isn't the best time to order anything anywhere in the world.

Best of luck.

Good morning, boss mi.

Jumia orders are not likely to be affected that much; not sure though. I have an inbound order via Jumia too, so, we should just de wait and see how this pans out.

To those AliExpress shoppers: If a seller ships your order with EX......SG, kindly ask him to change it (if it hasn't been dispatched), else, be expecting NCS invoice to accompany your item to your PO.
pls how do I know if there is EX or SG on my order. p.s I use the app to shop

Hello guys, well my Case is I ordered for a phone on the 13th of March, it shipped on the 17th by Aliexpress standard shipping, it left originating country on the 18th but hasn't still landed in Nigeria till now, the expected date for arrival according to Aliexpress is 2nd to 17th of April, and I am still waiting. I'm just a bothered that after 20 days it still hasn't landed in Nigeria. At least if it lands I'll know our interstate borders are the only things holding the delivery, but right now it's difficult to ascertain the exact cause of the delay. Really I just want that phone as soon as possible. Thoughts?

Exactly my situation too. My estimated delivery is 12th April and it was shipped since 9th of March. It is still showing in transit. I’m also confused as to why it is taking so long to atleast land in Nigeria. When it’s not as if the package is coming from another planet

maybe it has landed and staffs who are supposed to report its arrival is not available.

I have a smart USB C cable from Umidigi sent as a gift; left China since 22nd March and hasn't landed yet. I believe it's the lockdown taking its effect

There is global lock down bro
Re: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by Samyokporua(m): 6:23pm On Apr 08, 2020
The issues with this kinda cases is that the offices in Nigeria, NIPOST and NAHCO that updates the locations about the parcel is lockdown. Our parcels are under cargo, they would arrive or have prolly arrived but won't be updated not until the lockdown and restrictions of movement in our country is lifted.
I'm sure you don't expect a call from the post office in this lockdown. So just chill, don't be scared nor in a haste to open dispute. You're parcels are safe and would be accounted for. Last I checked.

Very correct. There's an item that ought to have landed long time ago, I checked my tracking yesterday but still displayed 'on transit" but got a notification this evening that it has landed Nigeria since 21st of March!

We shouldn't be in a hurry to open dispute. Some of us know that sometimes, items would have been delivered but tracking would still be displaying "handover to airline" or "dispatched to overseas".

I guess the Post Office in your state is still active, right? Mine has been on the "handover to airline" since 21st of March too with no update since then. Final Destination: Abuja

Not AliExpress tracking page but a third-party's. It's same item that's bee displaying in transit till yesterday that just changed to "arrival at destination country" and dated 21st of March.

This isn't new anyways. CPAM does that most times.

I'm not sure they're here. Most of my items are in that stage too. When it's time for extension, I'll call for extension cuz I know delay is likely to be due to Nigeria's LD.

yes, it's normal. Maybe every item that arrives has the date and time on record and when they will be updating it, they will just write it like that. Just as they would ask you to write the date and time you picked your parcel

We all should be fair in our dealings and be reasonable. If you place order anytime from January, you should know that that time till now is a bad time everywhere and delays will surely be experienced. Rather than filling for disputes just cuz you haven't received your item, you can request for extension of your protection.

Delay from dispatch, delay from countries these cargoes would stop by to deliver to and delays + ineffective service delivery of our own NCS/IPMC and lockdown effect on NIPOST will surely cause delivery setbacks to Nigerians.

These guys are out there to make profits and we should not use this sorry situation we've found ourselves to benefit self unjustly.

If you can't wait for 60days and more, please, don't place orders now until lockdown is lifted or everything is okay globally.

I can only buy from my account as I don't do 3rd party check-out transactions. Aside that, this isn't the best time for a 3rd party deals due to these delays.

We can only hope and pray this Lockdown in Nigeria ends quickly, we need our post offices up and running, frankly I'm kinda tired of overseas shipping. But it's all good, stay safe guys, watch and pray always, remember God in these times.

Hello, I'm trying to order a device from Aliexpress and I want to know whether custom charges would have to be paid. Does it depend on method of shipping? Or is it wiser to use DHL?

well, it's by luck you may escape customs duties. But DHL brings you closer to customs charges compared to AliExpress standard shipping, from my own experience
