fecundility:Not every contact will contract the virus... The Italian index case in Lagos had 179 traced contacts but only 1 tested positive. Furthermore, not every infected person will develop symptoms... For example, that 1 Italian trace contact never developed symptoms. Covid-19 spreads rapidly but it is not a death sentence... Thus far, over 80% of positives will show mild symptoms or NONE at all. That is why we should ALL act as if we are positive... And persist with good hygiene, isolation and social distancing. We must prepare for the worst... While working and hoping for the best. Good luck to us all. > |

Tango123:I strongly believed discharge case will keep increasing as new case increases and the death rate will be very slow. We don't have the best facilities but we have Grace. Let the health officials just keep up the good fight. |

FLYFIRE:It’s a new virus... So we do not really know what really kills all of it victims. In COVID cases where the infected person also has an underlying or other serious health condition... There’s not been enough studies to determine if it’s the pre-existing condition that’s exacerbated and kills them or if it kills independently. > |

Two popular Galaxy smartphones are losing support. After around four years, Samsung has largely abandoned update support for the two popular smartphones Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge: in future, both cell phones will only be equipped with the security updates that are very important for device balance in exceptional cases. IAmMysterious:It simply means we're in the incubation period of the virus. All those hard hit countries were once in our shoe weeks ago. We'll get to the peak some weeks to this time. We need prayers now cos the peak won't be funny. |

Frankology:It's simple epidemiological stastics and it applies globally. Number of confirmed cases reflects the number of people who has ever tested positive to the virus. Regardless of the outcome or current status that number of confirmed cases will never change. |

Mongomeyen:Even if the case has been discharged the person was confirmed positive by test and that statistic will never change, only the outcome (ie death or discharged) will change. I have seen a lot of people arguing a case with an outcome should be removed as confirmed. Unfortunately, it's not so as evidenced by the globally recognised epidemiological tool used for assessing the statistics of infectious diseasss. |

xynerise:Ethically you can't disclose any patient's details without their express consent unless they choose to do so themselves. Doing otherwise amounts to breach of confidentiality. Boris Johnson updated the public about his health because he choose to do so further necessary considering he holds the most important position in the UK Govt as the PM and before any patient or their details was shown as you saw in the international media their consent was obtained from them or close family relatives. Abba Kyari is a presidential staff not the president hence his portfolio is not vital enough to have his confidentiality breached without his consent. In addition, as regards our mentality it would be difficult to get many people to disclose their status because of fear of stigmatization and this is one of the reasons contact tracing in Nigeria is very difficult. Before you argue about this, I'm a Doctor trained in Nigeria and practising in the UK hence the information provided above is verifiable. For more information; visit the MDCN page(Medical and dental council of Nigeria) or search on google for more information about patient confidentiality and consenting. Cheers |
