Yesterday morning there were 288 cases . 7 discharged later in the day. This morning 17 new cases. The total number of present cases should be 288-7=281+17=298
They are obviously miscalculated the cases ,kinda confused.

The Chinese medics that arrived are only treating CCECC staff, and not the general population....
However, since they also brought along donated ventilators and other equipment for Nigeria, they will also help with operational training.

That’s the entire extent of their mission in Nigeria.

The way they count it globally is to keep increasing the overall figure of those who have contracted the virus by the new cases being recorded.

Bad news is that the virus has travelled length and breath of this country but most people are asymptomatic. To testify to this, let them move from house to house to collect samples for test and watch how the figures will jump from hundreds to thousands.... Remember the doctor from Daura, Katsina that visited Lagos shortly before returning to his state where he fell ill and eventually died? That's someone that has a short stay in Lagos before returning, what about those people you see on front pages of the news who have been going about their businesses through public transportations before the enforced 14 days seat at home? What about people who ran to their respective hometowns from Lagos bcuz they heard or perceived that the government will lockdown Lagos? As you read this, the wife and 2 children of the aforementioned doctor have also tested positive for the virus. Just use that as an example. The only light after the tunnel is that so many people have even beaten the virus unknowingly in their respective homes but the only problem is that people with weak immune system who contracts it might be in for fight for their life.

No. I had symptoms and had to self isolate. After around 7 days, I'm feeling 95% okay.
Then the symptoms are of malaria, just thank God, see if it were corona virus and you just self isolate at home without appropriate treatment.
Then I wonder what would have happened to you.

I don’t believe they are hiding it...
The NCDC dude discusses it at the daily press briefings.

Obviously, the number of daily tests increases...
As more labs are added for COVID testing (including staff training).

In addition, the labs are undertaking process engineering....
Eg, instead of one 8-hour workday, have three 8-hour shifts (requires hiring/training more staff though).

Check corona.help . We have tested just 5k+ people while usa tested 2.5m. Usa test result comes out every 5 to 10 minutes, our test takes almost 12hrs to be available. I think we actually need to carryout enough test so we can know what we are dealing with. I pray our case wont be like that of Ecuador that couldnt test enough people before they start droping dead with no morgue to accomodate the dead other than to put them by the roadside for days. God help us

The rate of infection has not really moved much...
Which is significant, given that many more people are being tested daily.
>
This would suggest that the situation isn’t so bad, but not testing people with symptoms who have no travel history and no connection to confirmed cases can achieve the same effect. Contacts of confirmed cases are way less likely to test positive than people with symptoms. I am cautiously optimistic that true situation is not disastrous, but just very bad.

Please do avoid them. Recently, I noticed how they are trying to paint the situation of the virus in Africa as doom especially Nigeria.

I wonder where they get their own situation report about Africa from.
