The problem of Nigeria does not seem to be the fragile economy but an inept , good for nothing , incompetent administration. it seems Nigeria is now out of gear ,one of them even suggested printing more Naira notes to bailout the economy. with the way things are going , even if a lender gives Nigeria $100b it will still not be enough to get the country out of the woods
That Nigerians keep voting in! Why can we vote in people with good credentials and not just silly popularity.

Only God will punish d people that bought this nonsense Idea of change as if they did not experience buhari's abysmal failure as a military leader

These foreign lenders should be petitioned.

They shouldn't give us this loan.
We won't pay back.
We can't sell the future.

Which future? That of our grand or great grand children?

Our future had long been sold bro.... The country is in a deep mess

When the reality of how this country has run for the past 5 decades hits...... Buhari, Tinubu, El Rufai, kyari would be long dead, or close to being dead.

Guess what you'd be the painfully discontented recipient of many of your parents inactions.

Many have been sold into slavery and they ain't even born yet.

What Nigeria is today ... the foolishness and stealing that royally persists unhindered and unchallenged in government, the rape and the kidnappings, the Raids and the killings is the early phase of a hellish decline that's unraveling.

Because quite simply, we are not earning enough from oil. Oil accounts for most of our earnings, and the price is too low for us to make much.

The fact is, our budget is just about $26 billion dollars. Our reserve is about $33 billion now. All for a population of 200 million people.

Comapre with the UK which spends $100billion for health alone
talk about the government in power ,they are the one's borrowing and sharing among themselves, how u guys always diverts attention from the real oppressors is shocking, what do u want to achieve. Blame the government power abeg.free the poor masses na them go diversify the economy?

Add the fact that corruption and looting would chop most of our money.

The truth is, we are not a rich nation. Both parties in Nigeria are not interested in changing Nigeria because Nigerians themselves want the money to be shared. We won't spend what little we have on developing our productive capacity. Instead, we use the money for sharing.

That's why we can never develop, and why we will be taking loans. We are not earning enough money. And until we change our mindset to that of a producing industrial nation, we shall be where we are forever.

Borrowing is not bad. The question is what are they borrowing for. If they are borrowing for capital projects that will directly or indirectly yield investment, then no problem. Such projects can service the loans in future. Such loans should be encouraged. What should be discouraged is borrowing for recurrent expenditure and irresponsible projects. In the past, Nigeria borrowed to pay salaries. That was silly.

The government is a reflection of the people.

And until we stop thinking of the economy as money to be shared and start thinking of it as 'how we can produce for the world' we are going to keep on suffering.

Ngozi Iweala is trying to lobby debt cancellation for Africa, and our prayer is that she succeeds, and one guy is talking of necessary evil.

With this kind of incompetent govt? Una no well.
