Hello all, i created this account to seek for help. Please all suggestions & opinions are welcomed.
My brother's Intl. passport will expire in May (next month), earlier this year he visited the Nigerian embassy in the country he's in (Kuwait) & was told there are no passport pages available. He was told to hold on, barely 1 month later, everything got escalated due to the current pandemic. Going to the Nigerian embassy in UAE was suggested but countries began closing their borders & travel became restricted. Right now he is stuck & helpless & confused on how to proceed. Visiting the embassy in Kuwait again, it was suggested that he apply for evacuation to Nigeria seeing that is the only option. Another problem now is that Nigeria is not evacuating anyone back & he was told that it wasn't certain if that will even happen at all.
I know there are a lot of people in this section with experience in Int'l travel. What are the possible solutions to this dilemma? It is a matter of urgency
apply for etc when coming home

right now, there are no flights in or out of the country, commercially that is. All flights are special purpose flight that was why he was asked to apply for evacuation. Upon application he was told to hold & will be communicated to in due course bearing in mind that it all depends on the Federal govt of Nigeria & the number of people seeking evacuation from that country. We are in a pickle
wait till after corona noni

The Nigerian passport is a document of the Nigerian government allowing bearer to enter the country (Nigeria) without restrictions. The expiration of the passport does not prevent you from coming into Nigeria, you will be allowed departure in any country to Nigeria. There should be no issues on arrival, even by Nigerian laws, however most of our security officers don't understand or interpret the laws to suit their selfish interests.... (for bribe). Depending on your confidence, you should have no problem coming into Nigeria.....I did it once sometimes ago.
