I don't get the point here! If he's going to use for ritual over the phone, why send you a message first? Why not just call you direct?

The same thing happened to me. I had not heard of the scam/format before so I thought they were genuine. The guy asked me to send the card and I asked why he couldn't just use it since it should still be in his sent messages folder. He said he mistakenly deleted it and I stupidly believed him. So, I sent it then he started thanking me. He then said one baba was there and he also wanted to thank me. I didn't see the need for that because I didn't see any big deal in sending back a card that I got by mistake.

Baba started praying for me and thanking me and between prayers, baba will ask me a question like "where are you now", I wondered why he asked but I answered "Lagos". He then continued prayer and asked again "what do you do", then I knew something was wrong and I hung up. It took me long to realize what it was because I hadn't heard of that scam before. Apparently, it had been on for ages.

Let's just be always careful. Some people say these guys are scammers, some say they are ritualists. You wouldn't wanna fall victim to them nonetheless.

The bastards called me sometime last month. Said it was a mistake and i should not load it. Out of kindness, I didn't. After a while they called to thank me and started asking me which state I'm in, what i do and other personal questions. I knew immediately i was tryna be played, so i ended the call and blocked the number immediately. Guys don't take it as a joke, it might save your life

Bro ion know about "killing" but i do know that they can manipulate you. Something similar was done to my sister about 8-9yrs back or so. A man randomly called her and started speaking softly got to know her, asked her for her location and what she does. Later started saying some incantations and next thing we knew her brain was like off and irresponsive to her own decisions. Could you believe she woke up very early the next morning, didn't tell anyone she was travelling. It was very strange cus in our house before you go anywhere, Adult or not, my mun must inquire where you are going. If it comes to travelling then you on ur own must go to her the previous day or earlier to inform her. So her waking up so early to say she's travelling and didnt tell anyone before hand was strange. Only i knew cus i was awake as at then studying. I asked her and she said she's going to Enugu where she schooled and was in quite an unusual hurry. When my kom woke up, i told her and she was shocked and didn't know about it, tried calling her but no response. Later in the day, She noticed the drawer which she stocks money was open, She checked and noticed that about 100k was missing. The drawer was not forcefully opened, the key was carefully and quietly unlocked. The strangest thing is that, No other person in the house aside my mum knew where the key was. It was very hidden but she found it without stress as if 'someone' told her where it was. Further attempts to reach her were futile. After three days, she returned home looking deranged, not taken a shower and unkept. She explained the whole thing that someone called her, started making incantations and her brain went off.. Told her where the key was and to collect the money and bring it to him. On the contrary to enugu she told me she was going to, She ended up in warri and her phone as well taken. Her coming back was due to the help rendered by a good Samaritan as she had no cent on her after the ordeal
Now i know you might be thinking maybe it was set up. Even i had thought so but what made me believe is the location of the key she knew about and the fact that she had absolutely no reason to steal considering the fact that we're well catered for and don't lack.

Something similar happened to one of my father's employee, her cousin was missing and when we later found her, she was in bayelsa from a caller whom she had met there and claimed an okada that carried her spoke "incantations" and she suddenly couldn't speak nor move, The woman being a religious person like you believed her but a few months later herself and my mum noticed this girl had spoilt rotten and didn't even attend school.
She confronted her again and she confessed she made up the story that she followed some friend's there to do rubbish and later got lost.

My point is your sister could have stumbled across the key maybe when cleaning or looking for something, I have stumbled across large sum of my mother's money but never stolen.
She probably formed the lie knowing fully well you'll believe her and in a bid to make her story more believable she probably sold her phone.
I'm not calling your sis a slut but we have seen cases of girls giving large sum of money to their boyfriend's.
Maybe she never even left town!
