Currently in Africa, several countries have fully legalized the cultivation, sale and export of marijuana, industrial hemp, or both, and in the process, planted the seeds of multi-billion dollar business empires.

In Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Lesotho and Zambia, legislative amendments have decriminalized cannabis cultivation, thereby establishing fertile ground for both regional and foreign investors to converge in Africa, breathing new life into African economies at a time when many are struggling to break even.

The market in high grade marijuana seeds alone, rakes in massive revenue throughout Europe, with a single cannabis seed often selling online for as much as 15 US dollars, equaling 5 THOUSAND naira, for ONE single seed. On this basis therefore, a single cannabis plant can generate MILLIONS of naira derived from seed production alone, provided that the genetics of the plant have been carefully developed for high potency, flavor, and medicinal value.

A typical seller of marijuana seeds in the UK is Dr. Chronic, whose website is as follows

https://www.drchronic.com/products?utf8=%E2%9C%93&keywords=lemon

Check out this website and note the astronomical prices being demanded for SINGLE cannabis seeds, in order to fathom the gigantic economic potential of medical cannabis production in Africa, where abundant sunshine assures THREE cannabis growing seasons per year, as opposed to ONE growing season enjoyed in Europe and the USA.

Ghana was the most recent African nation to legalize medical cannabis production and export, and that landmark legislation was passed amid the confusion and upheaval of the Corona Virus pandemic, perhaps intentionally, so that the new law would fly under the radar and face less opposition than would have been the case under normal circumstances.

The devastating economic effects of the Corona virus are going to be felt around the world for many years to come, by ALL nations, therefore it is more important than ever for African nations like Nigeria to chart a course towards speedy economic recovery, that can help their citizens get back on their feet when the virus tidal wave that is sweeping our fragile planet, eventually subsides.

With the foregoing blueprint for economic recovery in mind, this writer hereby appeals to Nigeria's lawmakers, many of who secretly consume high grade cannabis in the privacy of their homes, to place Nigeria on a solid footing to generate massive wealth in the booming medical cannabis industry, by passing legislature aimed at FINALLY legalizing this healing plant that contains such a wide variety of naturally beneficial components just waiting to be exploited for the creation of financial EMPIRES, in Nigeria.

Here is a short video clip about a Canadian company that rushed over to invest millions of dollars of venture capital in South Africa, not long after it was announced that cannabis cultivation had been legalized there.

This same windfall of bountiful harvests could be witnessed in Nigeria, simply by the stroke of a pen, used by the Nigerian president, to enact new legislature that will legalize the cultivation, sale and export of medical marijuana.

Personally, in the event of cannabis legalization for Nigeria, I would not seek to engage in the corporate production of weed, but would rather just grow my own in my jungle hideout, starting with elite genetics imported from Holland, where cannabis seed banks offer a vast array of strains with THC potency levels that range from low to gigantic.

For example, if you like weed that carries a strong lemon flavor when vaporized or smoked, check out the massive selection in Herbies catalog

https://herbiesheadshop.com/search?q=lemon

The African kingdom of Lesotho is not left out in the rush for green gold. Here is a massive industrial project going on there.

Here is another highly informative short video clip describing how the Israelis have stampeded over to South Africa now that cannabis is not only legal there, but very lightly taxed when grown commercially. Nigeria can join this fast moving freight train to economic salvation, by becoming a MAJOR player in the global market for medicinal marijuana, its seeds. and its concentrated extracts.

Without question there lurk very powerful and well-connected readers and writers, among Nairaland's teeming devotees scattered across the globe, so to them I plead that they show this thread to those who can influence the process of fundamental legislative change in Nigeria's seat of power, such that sooner, rather than later, Nigeria can take its place at the table where billions of cannabis industry dollars are shared by competing international conglomerates.

His Excellency President Buhari will already be aware of the enormous economic benefits that Nigeria can reap from legalizing cannabis production and commercial exploitation, therefore it is too early to presume that he is likely to oppose such an initiative that offers such a strong promise of triggering an economic boom in Nigeria, similar to the one under way in several other African countries that have legalized this highly effective medical plant.

Many would be surprised if it were ever disclosed how many lawyers, medical doctors, police officers, military top brass, university lecturers, and other highly regarded members of society in ALL nations, enjoy relaxing at home by smoking, vaporizing or eating some high grade cannabis, in EXACTLY the same way as glasses of fine wine are imbibed after a long day's work at the office.

I strongly believe that it is President Buhari that will legalize marijuana in Nigeria, and thereby transform the economy of the nation for the better, literally overnight. Nigeria is blessed with highly fertile agricultural soil, ideal tropical weather, and consistent daylight hours, year round, all of which combine to make Nigeria a cannabis growing PARADISE, just waiting to be so recognized by the laws of the land.

President Buhari sir, we await your timely action on this matter. Help Nigeria emerge strong, from the Corona virus pandemic, by taking its place at the table where multi-billion dollar medical cannabis profits are being divided up among the worlds most insightful and innovative nations.

Heads of state all accept that a percentage of the population will oppose whatever they do while in office, meaning that ultimately it is guidance of learned advisers in numerous fields, modulated by the nuances of the leader's own conscience, that shall inform all courses of action taken by the state.

President Buhari, now running his federal administrations' second and final term in office amid turbulence both regionally and globally, is no longer burdened by the demands and constraints imposed by lobbyists and other political pressure groups whose influence tends to wane, as soon as popularity polls and re-election preparations no longer factor into the equation of governance.

In short, the golden opportunity now exists for President Buhari to append his name to the roll-call of Africa's most pragmatic and visionary modern leaders, simply by affixing his treasured signature to new legislation that will legalize the licensed and taxed commercial cultivation, sale and export of medicinal cannabis in Nigeria, whereby the multi-billion dollar income revenue soon to be enjoyed by Zimbabwe, Zambia, Lesotho, Uganda, Ghana and South Africa, thanks to the forward-thinking legislative changes made in all these fellow African nations, will also accrue in Nigeria, a land blessed with VAST agricultural landscapes, and generations of highly skilled farmers.

The Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho has become a Mecca for international cannabis growing industries, who value the high elevation, climate and rich soil in that landlocked and impoverished nation.

Below is a marketing video produced by the Canadian company that produces marijuana for export out of Lesotho, and will before long account for a large chunk of that small nation's Gross National Product, while also minting many new ganja millionaires within Lesotho, and of course in Canada.

The lobbyists to which you refer, can truly change the course of history, and turn Nigeria's declining fortunes around DESPITE the devastating blows being dealt to the economy of all nations worldwide by the Corona Virus, even at this early stage of the pandemic, whose duration remains an open question.

The timing of this urgent appeal to the state and federal legislature, is not a coincidence at all, but is being tabled as a highly effective, quick acting hedge against the inevitable economic downturn currently unfolding, in that immediate tax revenue will commence flowing into government coffers at all levels, the instant cannabis enterprises file for permits to operate, with even greater tax revenue arising when exports of cannabis products actually get under way.

In a post-Corona virus era, African countries in particular, will need to think "outside the box" in order to minimize unemployment and keep the specter of escalating national debt at bay, in the wake of the almost cataclysmic economic upheaval inflicted by the virus pandemic on every inhabited corner of this fragile planet. It is against the surreal context of this unprecedented contagion that I decided to articulate but a few of the myriad rationales in favor of legalized marijuana production in Nigeria, from a purely economic standpoint.

The methods of cultivation that can be adapted for cannabis cultivation, are almost infinite. Aquaponics, is a system of growing food crops, using highly nutritious water pumped from a fish pond as a powerful fertilizer for explosive plant growth. The water is then fed back into the fish pond, in a continuous cycle, whereby the plants actually purify the water for the fish, who in turn provide ALL the feeding that the plants require for healthy growth, with NO further need to utilize chemical fertilizers of any sort.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=989E-sWLn7M

With the long overdue legalization of cannabis cultivation in Nigeria finally enacted, EVERY fish farm in the country, could be adapted at very little cost, to become a cannabis farm, using this system. Of course, there is nothing to prevent fish farmers from setting up this manner of system, merely to grow vegetables and other food crops.

The income generating potential of medical cannabis is absolutely gigantic in greenback dollar terms. Quite a few of the wealthiest marijuana entrepreneurs whose companies currently serve the EU and US markets, prefer a glass of fine wine over cannabis, while some might not even partake of weed or its derivatives, yet, they ALL love the color and smell of money, preferably when stacked up high, so, they all ride the cannabis success wave like pros.

This scenario is currently unfolding all over Africa where cannabis prohibition laws have been repealed, and it is now Nigeria's time to board that Mary Jane Train, destined for mega-success with no stops in between.

This bud's fer you sir.

Abouwaza:
Why won't I be a multi millionaire then? Make dem no try am oo

Let me tell you a short but true story. A man visited Nigeria from Holland, and while in Nigeria, was fortunate enough to smoke some extremely powerful African Bush Weed, most likely grown in the fabled farms of Ekiti in Ondo State, the motherland of connoisseur-grade cannabis.

Amazed at the powerful yet uplifting high produced by the weed he tasted in Nigeria, the Dutch man packed a few thousand seeds in his luggage, and returned to Holland via Schipol Airport Amsterdam.

The rest, as they say, is mega-million dollar history, because our intrepid Dutch traveler proceeded to plant the seeds of his Nigerian weed, creating multiple generations of that highly prized marijuana variety.

To cut a long preamble short, "Nigerian Nightmare" SEEDS, sell in allotments of TEN, costing 83 pounds sterling, when in stock, since those seeds sell like hot cakes among weed growers the world over. The price for ONE "Nigerian Nightmare" cannabis seed, is thus 8 pounds, 33 pence sterling, which in turn equals approximately 4 THOUSAND naira, per SINGLE cannabis seed.

Given that a single healthy cannabis plant is at maturity capable of producing several hundred seeds per grow cycle, one does not require an advanced university degree in math, to envision the sheer scale of hard currency clear profits attainable from even a dozen selectively-bred marijuana trees, grown under the powerful African sun.

https://www.choice-cannabis-seeds.com/reeferman-seeds-nigerian-nightmare/prod_2148.html

Bob Marley, the patron saint of Mary Jane connoisseurs worldwide, sang in his classic tune "Rat Race", that "In the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty". While a Dutch entrepreneur in the EU, sells Nigerian cannabis seeds at 4 thousand naira per seed, scarce manpower and resources go to waste in Nigeria, in a futile bid to eradicate marijuana farming intended for local consumption, amid an already depressed economy.

I continue to repose absolute, unwavering confidence that in the fullness of time, yet before his current tour of duty concludes, His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari will, after all due consultation and consideration, affix his esteemed signature to landmark legislation retroactively overturning the pointless and destructive prohibition of marijuana in Nigeria, while concurrently opening the door to a thoroughly regulated and taxed cannabis production industry that will turn the rich soils of Nigeria, into cash money gold, three times per year, when those high grade cannabis buds ripen under the African sun, yielding yet another bountiful harvest worth serious, life-changing amounts of money.

Say no to post-Corona virus economic depression in Nigeria, by saying YES to legalized marijuana cultivation throughout Nigeria.
