Osagie Ehanire: 9,000 Persons Have Met With Confirmed Coronavirus Patients by deantimes(op): 4:38pm On Apr 14, 2020

Osagie Ehanire, the Minister of Health has announced that 9,000 persons have met with confirmed cases of Coronavirus since the pandemic broke out in the country.

Mr Ehanire made this known on Tuesday afternoon at the press briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 in Abuja.

At the moment, the country has recorded 343 confirmed cases of the disease since it came into the country on February 28, 2020. While 91 patients have recovered, 10 deaths were recorded at the last count.

“The country has made significant progress in contact tracing. 9,000 contacts have been traced so far,” the minister said.

Lol... these guys bring more confusion than updates... what are we supposed to make of this info? 9000 have been traced, but only 2000 have been tested.

Are the remaining 7000 quarantined somewhere or they’re living their lives and spreading miss Rona?

And those 9000 people have met with how many?

At a geometric rate, the figure will be running into several millions.

My consolation is that not every contact brings about contraction, that is why we must always wash our hands, avoid indiscriminate touching of mouth, eyes and nostrils.

Also, regular use of hand sanitizers is encouraged.

It's so pathetic!
I can boldly confirm to you that there are more than 5,000 cases of coronavirus in Lagos only. The ones NCDC reports are the ones they found and tested with the few tests they manage to carry out.. Lots of suspected coronavirus cases don't get tested.
