And all the donated billions?
Everyday I wake up in this country, I feel cursed all over again. You can't put people in Isolation (hotel) and give them food and water? For a period of 14 days yet you can fund hundreds of senatorial medical tourism and thousands of pilgrimage.. lol. Of what benefit is pilgrimage to the country?. Misplaced priorities

The Lord works in mysterious ways....
what do you mean? 2000 who are living illegally in foreign countries wants to go back to nigeria, they would have been deported anyway, these are people who have been hiding from their various hosts countries authorities due to lack of documentations. now they see the chance to go home peacefully and vonluntarily, what's that got to do with your so called lord work in that? is nigeria not their country?

documented nigerians are staying put in their various residencial countries knowing that they are better off over there regardless of the virus breakout.

This is so disturbing. I keep asking myself if it's a curse to be a citizen of this country? How can you say that? What happened to the billions that were donated?

If you can't cater for 2000 people, what then can you do?

They should be ashamed of saying that.

There was a country
People like you are just noisemakers. If assessed, you can't even lead your own family aright. So you you think if we dedicate the entire year's budget, we can build mega hospitals overnight? Where is the man power at this time?

I'm sure you didn't even bother reading their article.

Why isolate them for 14 days? Even the US is not doing that. That cost a lot of money and resources. Give them a test and if found to be negative, then let them go. Only keep those that are positive. Simple
That's not how it's done. In some cases the symptoms does not show on first test. They were in countries that were ravished by the virus. They needed to be isolated for 14days and on close observation. If they let them go, they might infect their immediate family even when the symptoms weren't there . And the family will infect the neighbours, and it will keep spreading.

True. Is there any need to bring them back? We are just copying those rich nations that are pulling their citizens out of Nigeria and some other places. Let them stay there and wait it out. We all know Nigeria does not have the capacity to handle even 100 critically ill covid-19 cases so they should not endanger those of us who do not have the means to travel out. Tell them to stay there, they will be fine. If they need food they should call social support there.
They are not been forced to come back, they have registered voluntarily to go back, they are undocumented, they probarbly have been looking for an opportunity like this, if they stay there they might die. if they have no residency in those countries they would not get any help, especially now so the best thing for them is to go back to nigeria, they probarbly would be deported anyway so why not go back peacefully?

The students must be very depressed and wishing to come back to their mother land.
Fed gvt should do the needful.
This whole drama will definitely reduce the traffic of Nigerians going to study outside. That place that we see as the "heaven" on earth is now seemingly a hell on Earth.
hopefully their parents that sent them there will send them palliative to augment their wards living.

we all now see the reason that we need to invest in Nigeria. we need to contribute back home. this country is the portion God Almighty have granted as his inheritance...we shouldn't despise it

After this corona,a serious gvt will look inwards on how to upgrade her health sector.I wish the western and Asian countries will ban all politicians going for medication overseas, this will make us put our hospitals in order.

Our cash cow sector (oil) is also in jeopardy because of the falling oil price. The gvt should invest more in other sectors like solid minerals, mechanized Agriculture etc to boost our revs.

I don't know why FG wanted them to be home, Nigerians in diaspora are always happy that they made good choice leaving Nigeria and for good... Now that there's chaos in their host country they want to return. If everything die down again... They will still curse Nigeria and move back to abroad. Confused citizens.

FG should tell them that aircrafts are not working at the moment. They should wait and keep strong in abroad.
Before they return to Nigeria and start spreading their virus again.
Majority of them knew that they already have the virus yet they will still want to come to Nigeria and be spreading it to us at home.
They're just fvcking unpatriotic. FG should please forget them there and let's solve our internal problems first.
No Nigerian based overseas will ever want to come back because the government over there is taking care of them

The Nigerians that want to come back are students studying overseas and people who went on vacation and business

These people have been trapped by the pandemic because flights have stopped so they want the government to assist them by bringing them home
