Follow the pictures... Make sure you network is good enough. Then follow whatever prompt that follows which should be telling you to download and update. Considering the fact that you're yet to update to Miui 11 at all... You'll need above a Gig or so.. You'll see the data needed on the screen anyways. Take care.

From your screenshot, system apps consumed almost 3.14gb of data. It means you've been allowing system updater to automatically update system apps. Because on my redmi note 8, system apps hardly consume up to 100mb per month. I will advise you to click on system apps as shown in the screenshot to see what consumes so much data from there.

This is one of the cons of xiaomi phones, until you use it, you will know the reality, I started off with the redmi 7,unto note 7,to redmi note 8,note 8t,then note 8 pro before I sold it to try another brand, now am using Samsung a71,. During the periods I was using the redmi phones I do finish glo 2000 for 9gb that is meant to last for a month,within 2 weeks without downloading and Streaming YouTube, just whatsapp, Facebook and surfing nairaland, that is all. But now with my Samsung a71 I hardly finish my 9gb... Always roll it over to the other month.... Try and practice this with another device, and you will understand what am saying..

The system apps there are Google Chrome, YouTube and other Google services not System Updater

This is not true bro. Everybody is complaining about how quickly their data gets exhausted, not just Xiaomi users. Many may not turn off auto-update on google playstore, media auto-download on WhatsApp, automatic system update for Xiaomi users and so on. Not everyone is meticulous. Check the pic below. Whenever I leave my phone idle for straight 10mins, the phone kills the data connection and immediately I touch it again it comes on. I doubt if you've seen that function before.

I have used Note 5 pro, mi max 2.

Currently using MI Max 3.

Nothing like zapping data, I even stream videos.

If not for Coronavirus that affected premier league, I stream live football and airtel takes 300mb to 400mb to stream full match, I always off the data after first half and put it on when the second half begins.

Now I use glo and the 4g is fast here, nothing like data zapping.

Phone do not zap data.... Apps and some settings does.

Moreover checking every photo on fb and Instagram, watching every short video.. auto updates, background apps and others do zap data

Number 2 happened to me of recent and I was so pissed off. I never knew I was sharing my data with an unknown number
