It's quite obvious that lately most females are granted just the same opportunities to succeed as the male counterparts, unlike within the ancient period of our great grand parents. A woman goes to tertiary institutions just like the men, and also acquires all kinds of prominent degrees just like the men. They are even competitive within these institutions just like the men. They have hands and legs just like the men but might not be as physically strong as the men, but they possess almost every valuable ability a man possesses to earn a living for himself. Who told women it isn't okay, to foot their own bills by themselves? What's wrong with a woman being able to afford everything she needs without being a leech in a man's life. It's okay for a man to spend for a woman honestly, but do these ladies realize it's okay for them to earn a living for themselves too and quit being just focused on just a man's wealth alone? I believe in marriages, a man should be able to offer at least 70-75% of financial aid in the family and the woman should be willing to handle the rest. But most women with valuable institutional degrees still expects you to do it all without hesitation. How would a man take care of every single bill in the house, take care of every single essential needs within the family without the woman's assistance? In situations like this if the man loses his job, he might just have very little investment to aid the family's survival. A good number of women go with the notion they don't want to suffer, so this most likely means they aren't willing to be helpful financial within the family but would rather just remain parasitic. No matter how successful a man feels he is at any point, I've seen several men fall and what happens after that, the woman leaves with the same notion, "I don't want to suffer". If a good number of women are supportive in the area of a family's finances, then there would be less broken homes. Feel free to critique or make additions. |

but how come una brain dey sleep when its time to realise that a man has hands and legs too to be useful at home and help with chores as well. I can contribute to finances, cater alone for the kids and the house and still be responsible for Bill's while the man just brings what he has and keep extra for his street whores who don't know what the broom in his house looks like una try o... and many women wey no know themselves don dey agree with una. but divorce has not stopped increasing![]() you mentioned family finances, how many families have that? most men don't want their women to know about their money until they nolonger have it, then they want the woman to come and suffer with them if I see you are doing right but things just aren't working I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE, But if when you have I have no idea and you squander money giving to random people and side chicks oga I wouldn't say anything but when it's time to drink garri you must go and bring those friends, relatives and side chicks to come suffer with you together or I too will disappear |

xendra:It's quite understandable the point you're trying to make here. It's not a taboo if a man does chores neither is it a crime if the woman helps out with lil expenses at home. It all boils down to perfect understanding between both partners. Times have changed, some women earn even more than their husbands and it will only be to the benefits of the kids if the woman eases the burden on the man by rendering some financial aid thereby giving room for the man to look towards investing for the future. Truth be told, it takes longer time for kids without a good financial backing to scale up the ladder when compared to other kids who have some investments to kickstart their career. In the end, both partners will bear the brunt of the decisions made in the early years of marriage. The more reason folks should look beyond good looks when choosing a partner. |
